PES 14 has a lot of heart

I’ve been waiting for Konami to release a video showing PES 14 to be a game I could actually play; something simple about simply putting a ball in a net. Today is not that day. In the third tutorial video, Konami details Pro Evo 14’s Heart system, which impacts your digital players’ emotions and stuff.

It’ll track their morale based on things like previous goals, whether it’s a home or away game, crowd chanting or the size of the cheerleaders’ knockers. Probably not that last one.

“The Heart system sees many different aspects of a football match create an emotional impact on the players, which in turn affects their abilities for the better or for the worse.”

“For example, if a player is playing well, stringing together lots of good passes or getting lots of good tackles in, the crowd will get behind him and this increased confidence will clearly be reflected in his game. At home games, the team will be able to feed off the support of the crowd, whilst the opponents may feel intimidated by this atmosphere.”

These idiots are tinkering with the completely wrong things!!! Where Fifa is trying to get their gameplay as close as possible to real life PES is trying to mimic a whiny little bitch who missed a tackle or a goal???? WHAT????? Oh boy this is getting bad for PES fans….

fifa trying to create gameplay like real life that made me laugh fifa have all been atrocious and why does the ball always stick to the player feet in fifa and every game is actually the same dosnt matter who you play against ..i played pes 13 recently and its awesome looking forward to pes 14 big time

Uhmmmm the last Fifa has actually added “bad touch” for players that doesn’t have that good a touch in real life and when you fire the ball into a player it no longer sticks. You will be lucky if it sticks 2 times in 10 if you really over hit the pass. And I promise you that if you play against Real Madrid with lets say Liverpool it becomes quite tricky…. But I play online and no one plays the same online, so maybe that is what makes Fifa so good for me… I can’t play Fifa offline anymore, it is just not competitive enough for me. But as with everything in life, we all have different tastes. I am just happy that there is an alternative because that makes them push each other which is good for us!!!

Been a PES fan myself for some years, but went along with Fifa 13 with my friends last year. The game is really nicely crafted but the AI is poor and gameplay manufactured with a false sense of ability applied to every single player.

On top of that Ultimate Team is a ploy by EA to rob fans, so naturally all what remains is online.

Neither game has got it right, PES has been a bit unbalanced in some areas and lacks some of the slick control of Fifa, but is vastly more competitive. Whereas Fifa looks more real in graphics but gameplay is repetitive and predictable.

Always stick to the players feet? Have you played Fifa. The main thing in Fifa that pisses me off is the bad touches, I bloody wish it stuck to their feet even 10% of the time.

imo i think fifa is absolute garbage & to say its realistic in any sort of fashion just makes me laugh, 1st off: the pitch size is to small yet on assisted controls the midfield is so open, u get from end to end short passing in a few seconds, every player feels the same, all goals are stuff ud rarely ever see in real life such as the cut inside & easy shot happens 20 times a game, scott parker is as gd as brazilians (if ‘you’ are good) trick past 7 guys score 20 yrds out… stupid, i was number 1 fifa 12 (manual controls) so i know what im talking bout. I look at pes & see great pitches huge differences in players, love the variety of movements & passing animations, the only thing i dont like bout pes since 06 is the speed of players, example: i was ronaldo vs john terry 1v1 situation i couldn’t speed past him at all i think there is a little restriction here from pes to keep game more tight, 14 looks better speed tho, also fifa game speed is a joke its so fast even on slow(try this 40 acc 40 speed slider)

Hey buddy each to their own…. If there wasn’t a choice the genre would be worse off. PES and Fifa pushes each other and that is good for all of us. I don’t like how PES plays, and all this new crap of hearts and players’ feelings feels to me like the worst idea ever for a sports game… Yes in real life playing badly would affect a player, but I don’t want that in my game!!! If you could play Parker like a Brazilian then you were good, cause I run rings around him with Coutinho and he rarely beets Lucas or Gerard… And you can’t speed past anyone in Fifa 13, when you are on speed and the defender has to turn then you will get away no problem… But 1v1 you won’t pass the guy and just run like Bolt!! And the tricks in Fifa don’t get you past all players, maybe very poor ones… Just remember I am talking about offline on easy here, I only play live.. No player plays the same way and Fifa allows that to come through. I play a high tempo passing game and when you get a guy who starts to “see” your passes before you do them you will be in trouble…. But as I said, each to their own, I love Fifa and don’t have any time for PES…

Yh most definitely, u need 2 big companies trying to be the best & for years fifa has easily this, but not because its gd more that pes was so bad since 07, EA created an engine in 08 i think which was very appealing to fans but after that.. it all stayed the same.. few odd changes now & then but nothing really game changing imo, they already knew pes wouldn’t be gd enough so EA add crazy skill moves & show on trailers to attract kids, look at be a pro clubs its all kids creating big blue afro’s on guys etc lol stupid game

This is why i hate fifa: There is no inertia (although about 1% has been added in the 14 demo) i love playing offline as well as online but with fifa its impossible, the cpu dont even try to win they are jus programmed to play a certain way, they are scared to lose the ball & wont try beat a man directly they wiggle away like cowards the total opposite to pes & even when playing stoke they always try to pass like arsenal to get a shot 10 yrds out..awful & has been this way for 7yrs. The build ups on fifa suck too, u dnt need to think bc theres so much space for everyone u jus pass easily up & get a chance tht u want, on pes u need more thought on the ball & try find that chance which results in different build ups each time, but ofc there are flaws, like i prefer fifa controls i think the skill stick is awesome & no hesitation in what im gonna do on pes its a bit random, as for the heart.. im not sure if it makes a huge difference but would be nice if it did, making subs would feel more effective this way

How does she control the ball properly? Won’t the ball shoot off to the side or something if she isn’t angled correctly? I’m not too familiar with soccer ball to boobs physics.
