Hey! Do you like Persona? Do you yearn for more of that Atlus developed anime action, but find your store shelves empty of any new games from that universe? Well good news everyone! A ton of Persona games are headed straight for your face! Exclamation marks!
Atlus had some big announcements this weekend, when they live-streamed a Persona event. First off, Persona 5. That game will be a Playstation3 exclusive, so don’t sell your console yet. Persona 5 has ket staff from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise on board, such as character designer Shigenori Soejima and composer Shoji Meguro.
But that’s not all. Persona 4 will have three spin-offs. Spin-off number 1 will be Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. That game is a 3DS dungeon crawler that is filled with cutified versions of the characters from Persona 3 and 4, which will hit Japan in June 2014.
The game deals with a bizarre clock tower that has popped up in the Persona 4 school yard, with players crossing over to Persona 3 and choosing to investigate as a team from either game. No western release date has been confirmed yet, but what is known is that Etrian Odyssey’s Daisuke Kaneda is directing and that the game will have a command battle system.
Moving onto the PS Vita, Persona 4: Dancing All Night is an exclusive on the Sony handheld, and is described by Atlus as a “Sound Action” game. It’s a Japan Autumn 2014 release, but again has no western date yet.
In this game, players will have to “battle dance” in a world known as the Mayonaka Stage, and will feature the return of Rise Kujikawa, who is hitting show business once again. Strange shenanigans are afoot though, as several of her group members begin to disappear. Ru roh Raggy!
If you need more information on what kind of form this game will take, know this: It’s being developed by Dingo, the team behind the Hatsune Miku games.
The final game announced was Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold. If you guessed that this is a fighting game, then you guessed right. This Persona game will be a Japan arcade exclusive in 2013, before hitting Playstation 3 in 2014. Once again, no western release date yet.

Nor do I. But with that said, it is sad how much space a game like CoD will get in shop fronts, but a game that seems original and may be what I need to save me from abandoning gaming altogether gets nothing.

Ya need to play these games. I would recommend Persona 3 and 4. 1 and 2 are mostly for the more harder core of RPG gamers
