According to the GT5 godfather, Kazunori Yamauchi, GT5 is done and the discs are being stamped as we speak.
He was responding to a question received at the mega motoring trade show, SEMA, over in the US.
While we don’t have a date set as yet the fact that the discs have made it through the queue and are busy being stamped is a massive step forward and if true would mean that we should be seeing GT5 on shelves before Christmas.
However until we get official confirmation nothing can be guaranteed. For example he could simply be saying that the code is done and the software has been sent to the factory for stamping. It could still be in the queue at the factory though.
In something barely related, is Kaz the only developer who spends a lot of time visiting and being interviewed at non-gaming related exhibitions?
I can’t think of anyone else who is photographed more often at a non-gaming related event than Kaz.
