D3-ROS-(2)

There’s no denying that Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls is a tad bit more casual on console. And that’s a good thing. Hell, it’s fantastic, as the different approach made for a better game overall. That’s going to change slightly however, as the game is about to get patched up to match the recent PC additions. So prepare to say goodbye to your loved ones as you descend into hell once again.

The PlayStation 4 version of Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition should be ready for patch 2.1.0 right about now, or “Goodbye Geoff” as we call it. So what does this patch add to the game then? Well for starters, Nephalem Rifts get an upgrade with the addition of even Greater Rifts, tiered dungeons and timed-runs in the dark against the forces of Hell.

This results in a more challenging experience, but one wherein the bosses are destined to drop Legendary loot on a far more regular basis. Also included, is the Vault. The game always has a treasure goblin lurking around who is rather unwilling to share all his lovely loot, and now you have a chance to follow the bugger back to his home dimension and score even more treasure. If you can survive Baroness Greed that is.

D3 ROS (1)

All that, as well as Legendary gems with which to boost your stats even further. They’re technically the kind of gems that Thanos would covet for the Infinity Gauntlet.

Cesspools also form the backbone of a new randomized environment that can be found in Nephalem Rifts and Greater Rifts, as this zone is basically a reworked Westmarch sewer system that is in need of some tender lovin’ hack ‘n slash. A new legendary item is also available, Ramalandni’s Gift.

D3 ROS (4)

Xbox One owners have to do a little bit of waiting, but they’ll also be receiving this patch. Soonish, I guess.

Hopefully it also fixes the error 37 PS4 users has been having.

By “ages” you mean a month, right? 😉

I’ll admit, I expected the patches to be multi-format simultaneous releases, isn’t that what they said?

Was awesome, played last night and you missed the best part. Kadla (sp?) no longer takes years. You can spends shards in seconds.

There is a patch after this patch that makes Kadala a lot more expensive, but really increases her drop rate.

5 Bloodshard items become 25 shards. May want to save those bloodshards or at least make sure you have max when the other patch drops.

But I keep maxing it out after a few T4 runs.

So is the 2.0 patch not coming to the PS3 version? Cause I’ve been thinking of shelling out for the Ultimate edition. But if it is going to stay stock standard, then I don’t know…

I think that even without the patch, the Ultimate Evil Edition is still worth it, considering that you get the RoS expansion.
