Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location may be delayed because it’s not “kid-friendly”

I’ve been counting down the days to the release of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, not because I’m excited for it (obviously), but because I’m ridiculously petrified at the mere prospect of playing it. Thankfully, there’s a small chance that I may not have to, at least not for a little while.

Why? Well, there’s a teeny weeny possibility that Sister Location may be delayed. Its Steam release date remains October the 7th (holy hell that’s in just two days time), but its creator Scott Cawthon says that may change (via PC Gamer).

Hey guys, I wanted to post an announcement that this game might be postponed, and I’m not really sure when it would be released.

There are certain plot elements that are very dark, to the point where I sometimes feel sick. There would be no easy fix to this. I either release it Friday as it is, or I delay it by several months to completely rework the plot into something kid-friendly.

I’m unsure what I’m going to do. As always, thanks for your support.

Hang on, let me get this straight. Scott Cawthon wants to delay  Sister Location because essentially, it’s not kid-friendly enough? Yeah, I’m not buying that for a second. The overall plot of the original games for example, is basically about children being kidnapped and stuffed into the animatronic suits. It’s their souls that then possess the machines to roam the halls of the pizzeria. That’s not exactly kid-friendly, is it?

I can’t help but feel that Scott Cawthon is trolling us all. He’s well known for never sticking to his dates in the first place. I think this could potentially be a ruse so that he can surprise us all and actually release Sister Location dead on time.

Which, if true, does not bode well for me. If the horror title comes out on the 7th of October, I’m calling in sick, indefinitely.

      I like non alcoholic beer.

I like to give to unsuspecting muppets and watch them get “drunk”

Haha not kid-friendly! For me, and I’m an adult, it’s nightmare fuel. How kids play this game to begin with is baffling for me.

ESRB ratings are a joke, has been since day one. Parents allows their kids to play any game they want.

Kid friendly? We don’t care. Is it Matty friendly? We hope not!

Yeah, he’s more of a cabbage guy. Cabbage friendly? That…that just sounds wrong.
