If you’ve been around for the last year you’ll remember the ding dong (love that phrase) battle that occurred online between Activision and EA Games last year.
From my side I mainly remember EA Games constantly harassing Activision about Modern Warfare 3 while trying to pass off Battlefield 3 as a brand new game.
In the end both games were released to critical acclaim however Modern Warfare 3 pretty much trounced Battlefield 3 in the sales charts.
And MW3 would have beaten BF3 in the critics scores if it wasn’t for a few oddly negative PC reviews on it’s title, in the end however they were virtually a dead match with BF3 taking the title by a single point in the end.
So it’s not surprising that EA would once again open up the battle lines with a sarcastic twitter comment by their Global Product Manager shortly after the official reveal who stated

#blackops2 you look tired, you should take a year off and rest
Personally I find it distasteful and childish but hey let the games begin, I wonder if Activision will get sucked into it and give EA’s Warfighter some much needed publicity?
