Five Nights at Freddy's World

Five Nights at Freddy’s World got a surprise release toward the end of January – It launched nearly a whole month ahead of schedule. It was in a terrible state however, and received some backlash from the community. This prompted its creator, Scott Cawthon, to pull it out of circulation for some much needed fixing.

And fixed it he has supposedly. Five Nights at Freddy’s World is back, and it’s now free! The animatronic RPG has popped up over on Gamejolt, and it won’t cost a single cent to download (via Destructoid):

With 40 playable characters, multiple endings, multiple difficulties, and a great soundtrack from artist Leon Riskin, FNaF World hits the ground running and doesn’t stop. Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the “flipside”, where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be- a safe haven.

Cawthon really does work quickly. I expected Five Nights at Freddy’s World to only come back in March, or maybe even April. Yet, only two and a half weeks after pulling it, he’s already re-released a new and improved version. This updated edition includes a remodelled overworld, and many other new features. According to Scott, there are many more updates to come still.

I am genuinely gobsmacked that Five Nights at Freddy’s World is now absolutely free. Scott has a huge fanbase, and many would gladly pay to play his game. He’s throwing away a ton of money! But hey, that is really nice of him, and it’s a smart way to make amends with the community for releasing an incomplete/buggy game in the first place.
