Dragon Ball XenoVerse is a guilty pleasure of mine. All the action of watching men scream at one another, but unlike the other end of the group chat that I’m plugged into while playing some online Call of Duty, fists are actually thrown. And then mountains explode, because that’s how Dragon Ball works, right? If there was one annoyance that I had with the game however, it was the plodding nature in which online features were implemented.
Implemented in typical Japanese style, to be a plodding hindrance instead of being an actual slice of action that added to the game. It’s a feature that I’m hoping will be fixed for the first sequel, the obviously named Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2. Because it damn well better be if said sequel is planning on adding more online content. “This time we’re really focusing on online features,” producer Masayuki Hirano said to GameReactor.
And we are putting together a lot of features related to online so that players can interact and play with other players online, battle, do some quests and feel the new online experience.
Another feature getting more detailed? The hubworld of Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2, which will be bigger than ever before and they better allow some sort of fast-travel option this time for getting around it. Or at least let players fly around instead of having to slowly jog around. “The hub that we had in Dragon Ball Xenoverse, It was a lot more smaller than what we have now, but it was a really new feature for a Dragon Ball game,” Hirano said.
We were simply happy that there was a lot of positive feedback from fans, so we’re really trying to include a lot of new things that you can do in this hub. We’re going to have some more events, we’re going to have some more quests.
And to cap off the dragon dragon dragon rawk the dragon news, comes this tidbit regarding the roster: Three new additions have been uncovered through V-Jump Magazine in Japan have confirmed that Android 16, Imperfect Cell and Time Breaker Bardock will be present for fisticuffs. I’m just hoping a Krillin Owned Count will also make an appearance in Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 in October.

How is Xenoverse 1? I see it is on special on steam this weekend. Especially interested if the Single Player is worth it?

Basically your created character goes into the past, going to different events of Dragonball Z and GT.
