No one wants to waste money on a bad game. But sometimes, a gamer happens to have put down a few hundred Randelas for an absolute piece of crap in digital form. Sometimes though, that particular game ain’t so bad. Sure, everyone else may hate it, but you love it.
So here’s the question: What’s the one game that was universally despised by everyone, that you actually had a blast playing. I’ve had my fair share of crap to review, but games like Wanted, Transformers and Hello Kitty Island Adventure were actually worth my time and money, despite the public opinion lambasting those games.

I’m really having a tough time thinking of any game but what I do still enjoy are my SNES,Genesis,Nintendo and MAME emulators. Most of the games(especially on the NES) were simple games that probably won’t hold any interest for the kids of today. But its still a guilty pleasure for me if I go on tea break or the internet is down and I cant play online.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate is on that list for me. Bought it from the bargain bin as a ‘why not’ purchase. And then totally enjoyed it. It’s not a great game by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a ton of fun. Just very enjoyable. 🙂

There was also a series of flash games featuring a guy called Jake… Called booty Call. Each episode culminated in you sleeping with some girl. Jake was a legend… me and my buds played those aaaalll the time.

The only thing I agree on with the haters, is that it had a really crap and abrupt ending. Otherwise I thought it was great. Although I should mention that I am a sucker for the post apocalyptic genre, as well as mutants. Can’t go wrong with mutants

It wasn’t even so much bad, as there was no ending. It kind of just ended and left you felling like WTF. They should have put in a boss fight or at least something to let you know it’s the ending sequence. Still didn’t take away the 20 or so hours of fun I had.

There was a pirate game I played once, can’t remember the name. I loved it, critics hated it.
The whole pirate thing has made me super super super excited for AC4 though, if it can capture that magic again.

As a gamer with over 30 pc games installed (many more on the shelf, in the cupboard and in a box somewhere) and 10 perm Xbox (and numerous traded in) games, I have this compulsion to play Solitaire. Yes, Solitaire. At least 1 game a day, but often for over an hour at a time.

Single card, not sure on the rest. Fairly standard. I don’t like the 3 card version, it does provide a better challenge, but meh. I don’t play Solitaire for the challenge – I have Dark Souls for that sadistic itch.

Gotta admit, I play Sonic 06 more than any mere mortal should.
Yeah it’s terrible, but there’s a certain charm to how terrible it is. It controls just terribly enough that you feel like you can fight the controls and win against the game. And the level design is just so easily breakable. And I just loved throwing stuff as Silver. Wish he’d get his own game lol.
And the story.. yeah it’s bad. But it keeps you watching most of the time.. and the dialogue has that same super cheesy feel of SA2. And silver and mephelis are actually interesting characters.. though you have to take some liberties with them because they are good in concept, but could be written better.
and.. dat music… one of the best OSTs ever.
