Nah – took me 17 hours (including all side quests). So decently spaced, me thinks. I didn’t want it to end.

Ya wrote “Cut-A-Spell” instead of “Cup-a Spell” for Donkeytron, Batfan #004. Just a heads up.

Man, I cannot wait for this to arrive. But thanks to Kal-Hal: Last Son of Korrypton, that won’t be happening soon. -_-

MY REVIEW The game was… too short. I finished doing everything in only under 10 hours. I felt the game was unfinished and needed work done on it. Now let me tell you I loved every moment on the game. This is the game I’ve been waiting for ever since I heard about it 2+ years ago. *SPOILER ALERT*I just feel like this game could’ve went much farther than it did, I was only at 15, which is how high you can go in the game and that was it, there are no other levels to reach. At the time of battling Clyde I felt like i was 25% done with the game, then I realized, no, that’s it, the game is over. I felt a little heartbroken because that was all the time I got to adventure around with my buddies Stan, Butters, Kenny, Kyle , Jimmy and Cartman. I wanted the game to go on longer, reach level 99 at some point, get some ultimate weapon. I’ll replay the game and choose the options I didn’t before, but I want a sequel or at least a DLC.
All-in-all I feel like This game was not complete, why do I say this? Well for one it’s buggy, yes you may have heard that it lags and has a plethora of other issues, and those are true. It didn’t ruin the game for me, I could go with waiting a sec for a different area to load some more so it wouldn’t lag. It lags on all three gaming machines, Xbox, PS3 and even PC. Some of the controls could’ve been refined a little more, sometimes when you’re walking along to grab an item you can’t immediately continue walking in the direction you were walking, it’s weird but you’d notice it when you’re playing. You can’t unlock everything in one playthrough. You can only unlock some abilities, not I know what you’re saying, you get to choose what type of player you want to be. This is true, but even as a Mage I couldn’t unlock all my Abilities, you have 5 abilities each with 4 unlocks, you gain an Upgrade each time you level up. Now you do the math 5X4=20 and you start out at Level 1, which means you get 14 unlocks out of the 20. Now I could get people saying you should specialize in one category or the other, or play again and unlock the other ones. I can understand this to a point, but I’d only want to play as each class once, not twice each. The game also has 5 buddies, which each have 4 abilities, only butters has a fifth ability to transform into professor chaos, What I don’t get is why don’t the rest of my buddies transform into their “Good TImes with Weapons” personalities. I felt as though they were thinking of implementing it but never finished. The game could’ve have EASILY been made longer. Now I know what some might say, you didn’t develop the game you don’t know how hard it was. I get that, but it had SO much potential for creativeness. It’s like Obsidian didn’t think you should go to one area more than once, on time you do go to the sewers twice for things like MBP and Mr.Hanky and that’s it. they could’ve used some of these areas over and over, keep some areas off limits tell later on. The ending, now here’s a bigger spoiler, is not explained well enough. What happened to the old guy, why did I feel like the ending was just something thought up in a second, the buildup was so great and the ending was less than stellar. I get South Park endings, but this one was the lamest, “Oh princess kenny was just on her period.”
Next let me talk about what was missing from the game. I briefly went over the extra buddy abilities but what about Crab People, or any of the South Park enemies. Granted there is one Crab Person but there’s SO many people that have ever been in South Park that were excluded. There is an absence of buildings in South Park The Stick of Truth, so many businesses/places that were in the show, Walmart, KFC, Graveyard, DMV, Toy Store, Drive-Movie theater ect. The girls houses are mentioned but you can never see them. Unless the houses on the other side of the street, which you can never get to are them. A couple buildings have no purpose and just sit there. Some people in South Park must have a home but you never see them. Canada is great, 8-BIT world is awesome, but small, in the North of Canada there appears to be a snow region but it is inaccessible. Even on of the citizens of Banff mentions a Newfinland (Referencing Real Newfoundland or Finland) Either way you can get to no such place. Next up is the forest which is fun and confusing as it should be isn’t taken advantage by the developers. The only place in the Forest that gets you anywhere else is to Canada, there are no other cities or towns or Mountains anything at all would’ve been cool. Their are so many quest I can think of, literally hundreds but their are only 23 main quest and 20 side quest. That’s it, I love them all but their are not a lot of them. There’s a good amount of cutscenes but I don’t think it adds up to more than a couple of episodes. I loved it but it didn’t build on itself as much as I’d hoped. Tons of references to the show but not enough easter eggs. Why was the game so short 10 hours of fun but in an RPG I expect at least 40, that way I’d be satisfied and when their is 4 classes that’d be 120 hours of fun. I was just expecting too much maybe. I’d rate the game 8/10, I love South Park I love this game, but I wish it had did more, I didn’t want my good times to end.

Does not lag on PC, I have PC and PS3 version, haven’t noticed any of the terrible stutter issues on PC, specifically changing zones, looting anything. Didn’t read the 2nd half, that’s a lot of words to say… Short but brilliant unfortunately buggy (Obsidian fans expected this)

Your whining too much. This game is the best. You want to fight 8000 groups of nazi rats just to get a level 99? Play a final fantasy. This is short and super-sweet. And the only decent south park game ever made. 10/fucking10.

I agree, it could have been longer, the abilities thing bugged md, and there wasn’t enough usage of other characters like the crab people and such. But, I think one main reason for this is for future content, as in dlc. By leaving out as much as they did but with the characters still in the game, they gave us hope that these characters may be used in some kind of dlc. I would love it if more places like Imagination Land, for example, and hell for another were unlockable… But, if they decided to stick with the four available places, I wouldn’t complain. This game is open to sooo many possibilities and could be endless if they wanted, since each “day” in the game is more like an episode.
I just want more, that’s all. You made some great points and I’m sure the creators are reading a heck of a lot of comments that are similar to this. My fiancee told me that they are already planning on releasing more. So, I’m pretty excited. Anywho, continue posting reviews like this, because these are the most helpful to the creators. Don’t let some of the previous comments get to you.
