HADOUKEN

Fighting game fans rejoice, Evo 2015 is here! This weekend will be packed with more fist fighting than an all-you-can-drink evening at the local Boksburg boxing ring! Except, this is all digital… the only real physical harm any of the top contestants will face are cramped hands, bruised thumbs, and potentially damaged egos. Nevertheless, the stakes are high, and the virtual battles will beautiful to behold!

Evo 2015 will kick off today in Las Vegas, and carry on right through till Sunday. The schedule is seriously jam-packed.

How packed? Well, enough to fit content into EIGHT Twitch channels or so… nothing big really. Here’s the schedule and links to all the streams (via Polygon):

Yeah, see what I mean? That’s a lot of fighting taking place over the next 72 hours! Titles of choice include Ultra Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat X, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Tekken 7.

There is a lot to choose from. Personally, I will be checking out the Super Smash Bros side of things. I’ve never watched Nintendo’s brawler played competitively, so I’m excited to see how crazy it is in the hands of professionals!

Remember, Evo 2015 is set to be the biggest fighting tournament yet. There will be over 2000 people taking part in Ultra Street Fighter IV alone!

For more information, head over to the official Evo 2015 website. You can also download a schedule (different to what I’ve shared above) right here.

Will you be watching? Which fighting game are you keen to see in action?
