Katowice

One of CS:GOs first (non-Valve) Majors kicks off today at 13:00, the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, Poland. This will be our first taste of what the world’s best CS:GO teams have to offer for 2016. Teams such as EnvyUs and Luminosity finished off 2015 with a bang, but it was Fnatic who retained their number one spot in the world.

They’ll meet tough competition in Katowice as Luminosity look for their first major win, while newly named Astralis begin their campaign to become the number one-ranked team after a considerably strong start to the year.

All eyes will be on veterans Ninjas in Pyjamas as they hope to pull themselves out of their current slump and reclaim former glory.

Schedule and Tournament Structure

Tournament Structure:

The opening day will be a round-robin structure with each team playing each other. The group winners will advance to the semi-final with the second and third placing teams moving on to the quarter-final stage.
