The MSSA is asking local gamers to make suggestions for five new titles to be played at the IeSF World Championships next year, there’s been a couple of great suggestions, Dota 2 seems to be the favourite.

The IeSF initiated the process of choosing the titles to be played at the 2013 World Championships and each member nation is being required to submit a list of five titles, this included South Africa. Our submission is done through the MSSA, who has made a post on our local eSports SA Facebook page as well as their own page. Many gamers have responded and you can too by commenting on those threads.

Top suggestions include:

  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • Black Ops 2
  • FIFA 13
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2

There are also a couple of positions open at the MSSA for which nominations are being done, the deadline of which is 15 November. These positions include an eSports Gaming Representative. Those interested can check out this link for more info.

“The MSSA belongs to all its members, and thus members are being offered the opportunity to take ownership of the games that they play and make their voices heard. The people who are elected onto the various MSSA committees will be responsible for directing gaming while they hold office. Make sure that you get the people you want!” says MSSA President Colin Webster.

What games would you like to see gamers compete in at the IeSF next year? [Very subtle subliminal message: kick off Dota 2 vs. League of Legends debate!]  Or which five do you expect to most likely be picked?
