On Friday we detailed the beginning of the famed “Post TI Shuffle” with Cloud9 disbanding their current roster. Over the weekend we caught wind of Aui_2000 being removed from the International champions, Evil Geniuses, to be replaced by Arteezy. Earlier in the year Arteezy parted ways with EG to form the all-star lineup Team Secret. On Friday we mentioned rumours that Zai might be taking the year off for studies, and with that now being confirmed, drama has ensued.
The return of Arteezy
On Saturday Aui_2000 tweeted that he had been kicked from Evil Geniuses, and at the same time Arteezy mentioned his return. Naturally many felt this was a poor decision, but that seems to be a recurring feature with members of Evil Genius. On his stream Arteezy began to discuss how his original decision to leave EG was a bad one, and that he is happy to be returning to the team.
i have been kicked from eg after winning ti. i actually hate people
— Aui 2000 (@Aui_2000) August 15, 2015
On his stream Arteezy chatted about his decisions, and in the following transcipt he sheds some light on the situation.
“Leaving EG in the first place was selfish. Returning was just the right choice and I was granted the opportunity to do so. I don’t belong on a team like Secret anyways because it’s too different.
“I enjoyed playing with Puppey. I think Puppey is the best player I’ve ever played with. I think S4 is the best when he’s comfortable, and he wasn’t comfortable. I think Kuroky is just f*$%ing… [trails off] yeah that’s it. I think Zai is one of the best players I’ve ever played with as well. I would actually 100% make a team with Zai and Puppey, for sure.
“To put it in perspective, there’s so much that happened in Secret and even Puppey dislikes Kuro. It’s not just me versus Kuro anymore, it’s everybody. That’s all you guys need to know.”

Many people, myself included, felt the removal of Aui_2000 was a strange decision. With this change Fear would return to support, with Arteezy assuming the role of carry. In my unprofessional opinion, changing Fear to coach and bringing in Arteezy would have been a much better decision. It seems Arteezy wasn’t too sure himself.
“AUI did have problems, otherwise he wouldn’t have been kicked. I don’t know anything because I wasn’t on EG.”
Source: Reddit
Burning stated that he also found the removal of Aui_2000 odd, saying on stream that “Aui_2000 won them TI.” He also added that Chinese teams were too afraid to to play against his Naga Siren and Goblin Techies. Unfortunately now that the “drama” has unfolded we cannot deny that EG will still be an extremely strong team ahead of the Dota 2 Fall Major.
Team Secret respond
We mentioned on Friday that Zai might be taking leave for his studies in 2016, and this has now been confirmed by Team Secret via their Facebook page.
Changes to Team Secret Dota 2As most of you will now be aware as of earlier this morning Evil Geniuses announced that…
Posted by Team Secret on Saturday, 15 August 2015
This unfortunate change leaves Team Secret, favourites prior to The International, with an incomplete roster ahead of September’s cut off date. Whether they will make the move and pick up Aui_2000 remains to be seen.

So now the question will be what will Sumail do since he was the carry of team EG. Offlaner perhaps?

He was the mid? Arteezy is likely going carry, with Fear going support to replace Aui.
I really hate the post TI shuffle. So many hurt feelings and destroyed teams. :/

Arteezy is definitely going solo mid carry. With Fear raw talent and knowledge of dota he would be good support but what ticks me off about this is, the guy that literally let them win the TI5 grand finals with his Earth is getting kicked out.

With his Earth?

personally think fear is too passive to play the #4 role well.
arteezy said on his stream he wanted to go back to playing mid, but im not sure he’ll get that.
sumails performance during TI was too good to just throw it away.
but having arteezy in the lineup, with PPD drafting, opens up a whole new deck of cards for drafting in terms of rotations. they could easilly switch roles to throw the draft off when necessary.

i agree moving fear to coach would have been the better option, bulba isnt much of a coach, hes more of a drafting sparring partner for ppd, thats all. bulba knows his shit, but his personal performance at previous TIs isnt much to go on and ii thought his influence on draft picks just didnt fit PPD at all as evident in the game that got them dropped to lower bracket.
fear just seems too passive to be an effective #4, as the #1 he was constantly giving up farm priority to sumail and universe, resulting in an underwhelming performance from him at TI5.
on the otherhand, i though aui was amazing, PPD gave him irrelevant heroes in the late game, but because of his itemization, he was always usefull regardless of the state of the game.

Whenever I see that photo of EG lifting the Aegis I always wonder why they don’t look that bloody impressed. Hahahaha. I’d be shouting shit like “GET REKT” every three seconds up there. 😛 I guess this is why they’re esports professionals. 🙂

Remember that they played 7 super high pressure games in a row that day. I think they were just too exhausted to do anything else.

nope, the level of social awkwardness on that team is pretty damn high.
all the other teams lost their minds when the final game was over

How many of them actually played 7 games in a row on that day. TI games are far more draining than a regular game, and 7 games in a row would certainly take it out of me. I’d just be too exhausted to care.

i dont think that has anything to do with it, remember, during bootcamps, they literally play all day. i know Fnatic talked about 12 hour rotations 12-12.
being tired is irrelevant for them.
theyr just not good with crowds, watch fear, universe and PPD in casual environments at events like the summit and theyr pretty much the same, aui was the biggest character on the team, he was literally sheperding them around on the main stage after the game.

K fine. it’s totally normal for them to win TI, they’ve done this all before. So they couldn’t have been exhausted, or shocked, or relieved. It’s totally because they’re socially awkward.

You just won TI5. I don’t care if you just played 14 super high pressure games and were five minutes from passing out from sheer exhaustion. GET REKT!

Shock, exhaustion, disbelief, relief. Any of these can cause a person to just be chill. Not everyone loses their minds.

What’s the real reason for kicking Aui_2000? What’s the true meaning?
