WWE Smackdown this week took place from the Colinial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. Here’s all the action that went down.

Things got heated between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss during their TLC contract signing

Smackdown November 29 (2)

The night may have belonged to Smackdown, but there was something else on the table to kick the show off last night. Specifically, another table, ladder and chairs as Women’s Champ Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss singed the contract for the title match at the upcoming PPV. Afterwards, the two ladies walked out of the ring with mutual respect for one another that did not result in a single physical altercation.

No, that’s a lie. Harsh words led to tussling, and that tussling led to Bliss putting Lynch through a table as her personal main event began to heat up.

Dolph Ziggler and Kalisto defeated The Miz and Baron Corbin via Disqualification

Smackdown November 29 (3)

And it was time for some Smackdown tag team action next! With singles matches scheduled for WWE TLC, the flavour of the night was a partnership for the faces against the heels as Dolph Ziggler and Kalisto took on their rivals The Miz and Baron Corbin. While Corbin and Ziggler fought tooth and nail outside of the ring, Kalisto gave The Miz a run for his money with a Salida Del Sol.

That would have sealed the deal on a win, but Corbin’s illegal chair-shot resulted in a win via disqualification, not the result that the team were looking for.

Nikki Bella reached her breaking point with Carmella

Smackdown November 29 (4)

Actually, I don’t think anyone cares about the Bellas. The two are fighting this Sunday at TCL. No Disqualification match. Next Smackdown result!

Dean Ambrose hosted The Ambrose Asylum with James Ellsworth

Smackdown November 29 (5)

Bestest pal James Ellsworth joined Dean Ambrose for his in-ring segment, as the two discussed his world title match at TLC and the fact that Ellsworth himself has a solid winning streak against the Phenomenal One. And of course AJ Styles was seething over any talk of him being less than glorious in the ring. Hitting the Smackdown ramp, Styles ran his mouth and shoved Ambrose into Ellsworth, scattering ladders, tables and chairs and holy crap WWE we get it the event is on this Sunday.

Anyway, Styles decided to teach Ambrose a further lesson by introducing his bones to the steel ring steps, after which he took his time with a ladder and steel chairs on poor Ellsworth.  A Styles Clash on Ellsowrth from the steel steps to hard ground below finished up the night for the champ.

Kane defeated Luke Harper

Smackdown November 29 (6)

The Big Red Machine had a score to settle with Luke Harper, as the member of the Wyatt Family sought some vengeance of his own in this rematch between the two giants. But a rock-solid assault wasn’t enough to stop the demon, as Kane persevered and almost broke the ring with his trademark chokeslam on Harper. One, two and three folks, it was all over.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton defeated American Alpha in a SmackDown Tag Team Title No. 1 Contenders’ Match

Smackdown November 29 (1)

The Smackdown main event had finally arrived, as American Alpha fought back against Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt for a chance to become the new number one contenders for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. And while American Alpha pushed the team of Wyatt and Orton to the limit, the night would not belong to them.

Thanks to a timely assist from Luke Harper who got Bray Wyatt out of the way before Jason Jordan could finish him off, a Sister Abigail was all that was needed to help the Man of a thousand truths claim victory.

Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles engaged in a backstage brawl

Smackdown November 29 (8)

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! Having already interrupted the Smackdown tag team champs Heath Slater and Rhyno, AJ Styles quickly found himself facing a furious Dean Ambrose as the two battled throughout the arena as show went off air for the night.
