Transformers-5-title

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction was a terrible, terrible movie…that made over $1.1 billion worldwide as Marky Mark huffed and puffed his way across the screen. I THINK WE FOUND A TRANSFOURMER! That being said, while the majority of the movie was an absolute glut of special effects running amok and every single person in China being a fourth-dan black belt in foot to ass kung fu techniques, there was something interesting there.

Namely Optimus Prime, and his new secret origin. Which will apparently play a big part in the upcoming fifth film which begins shooting next week in Cuba. Director Michael Bay is back yet again, and he released a teaser video to mark the occasion and reveal the official title of the fifth film. Transformers: The Last Knight.

Calling all #Autobots: Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you? #transformers

Optimus breathes heavier than I do when I phone the pizza delivery guy. So what’s all this last knight business then? Right, recap: Back in Transformers 4: Age of Extinction of my brain cells, Optimus Prime spoke of the Knights’ Temenos, an ancient spaceship that was once home to Cybertronian Knights that included Prime and the Dinobots. OR, there’s also the possibility that this is setting up the Knights of Cybertron, a comic book creation which told the tale of the first Autobots who were created to guard the Allspark.

Or maybe all this lore will get mashed together in one big Baysplosion.

Either way, I wouldn’t say no to seeing Optimus Prime ride Grimlock into battle again, because that was an admittedly cool scene amongst all the exploding product placement. Transformers 5: The Last Knight will see Mark Wahlberg return as the constantly out of breath Cade “I THINK WE FOUND A TRANSFOURMER” Yeager, comedian Jerrod Carmichael and Isabela Moner. I’ve got a little bit of hope for this flick, because John Wick’s cinematographer John Sela is also on board to help frame giant robots smashing each other when production moves to Michigan later on.

Transformers: The Last Knight currently has a release date of June 23 2017 pencilled in, with movie six arriving on June 8 2018, and movie seven landing on June 28, 2019. I THINK WE FOUND A TRANSFOURMER!

I enjoyed the last Transformers movie. But then I don’t watch them for a coherent story, especially since not one of them has ever had one, I watch them for hot robot-on-robot PK’ing and explosions.

The last Transformers was okay-ish. Love the scene with Grimlock wanted to see more of that. But I just wish they can drop the jammer-gat girls in these movies. Gawking into the distance like zombies!

But the super-hot damsel in distress is integral to the plot!

They can be pretty and in distress. I don’t mind that. All I’m asking is not to let them look like guppies gulping for air.

Transformers movies are amazing, they have exotic cars transforming into robots and the last one had transforming dinosaurs…… Honestly they could be looking for a golden turd and I’d still go watch the movies…. Especially when you throw in a transforming car riding on a transforming dinosaur waving a badass sword….. End of story

I disagree. Michael Bay is a terrible infliction on the human race. Every time he directs a movie, A galaxy teeming with life dies somewhere in the universe. He is the film equivalent of Adolf Hitler. There, I said it. Come on Spielberg, Get me fired.

I never go too a Michael bay movie expecting a good story. I go to see crap blow up and in transformers case, see giant robots fight. I enjoyed the transformers movies for that but i think its going a little too far now. I just hope he doesnt drag this movie out like the last one
