NHL15

Sports! Before we head to FIFA and presumably something else involving balls, we’re going to start pucking around in NHL 15.

According to EA, NHL 15 is going to be a game that packs plenty of details. From the players themselves, to the ice rinks, the crowds and the manner in which you flick your stick, NHL 15 has been completely overhauled to be a brand new game, not an incremental update.

I’ve got to say, those crowds look mighty impressive, giving the game some much needed life. There’ll be 9000 different types of fans, authentic broadcast options and of course, better brawling modes. A demo will be out later this year, but the full game will be available in September if you want to experience punching on ice.

I remember playing Actua Ice Hockey many many moons ago. Getting into fights was my favourite.

Actually Ice hockey in South Africa is quite tame compare to the US/Canada.

I use to play for the Carlton Centre Ice Rink in the 90’s, other than a guy that wanted to stab someone for scoring its pretty relaxed. There is a few mass fights but mostly its just a laugh and good fun.

Remember if you play ice hockey you are padded all over your body. You basically have full body armour on made from some durable plastic.

Now rugby is a different story when you take a hard tackle or someone decides do decorate your body with stud marks there’s no padding for protection. Not to mention the random fist coming through in the loose scrums.
