The Wii-U hasn’t taken the world by storm as the original Wii did but at the same time it isn’t a sales slouch either with the unofficial tracking charts now marking it as passing the 2 million mark.
This has taken just over a month which is around 80% of the original Wii’s sales from the launch window which is pretty incredible as it costs over R1000 more than the original Wii.
I haven’t yet picked up my personal one but it is on my shopping list but our official review found the console to be a solid piece of kit and the first games have been exceptionally good.
Nintendo gave themselves a target of 5.5 million sold by April 2013 which may be a bit tough to make but I think they’ll be close.
