It’s been a great week so far for fans of the Animus-hopping adventures of Desmond Myles, as he prepares to once again relive history through the eyes of his latest ancestor, Ratohnhaké:ton, or Connor, in Assassin’s Creed 3.

This time, players will be swopping the rooftops of Italy in the Renaissance for the untamed world of America during their bloody war for independence, as Desmond experiences the conflict of Templars and Assassins first hand, as Connor Tomahawks his way to freedom through American traitors, British redcoats and numerous other obstacles.

But what better way to get excited for Assassin’s Creed, other than a kickass trailer, than with an awesome competition? Ubisoft South Africa have kindly donated some prizes for just such an event, and you have just today to enter.

Winners will receive the following:

– Assassin’s Creed Revelations Hoodie

– USB stick

– Deck of cards

– The Assassin’s Creed Encyclopaedia

To stand a chance at winning, all you have to do is comment below and tell us what you think Connor’s Native American name, “Ratohnhaké:ton”, really means. Simple, right? So leave a comment below, and we’ll announce a winner tomorrow.

Please remember, this contest is only open to persons currently residing within South Africa.

  1. That is a really hard question, but i will try my best.

In Ratonhnhake:ton, “onh” is a root meaning “spirit” or “life,” and “ake:t” is a root that can mean either “emerge” or “scratch something.”. I think Connors Native name may mean Ratohnhake:ton as “his spirit emerges,” but it could just as easily be translated “his spirit scratches its way out” or “he scratches at life” or “he scratches to survive.”
