You may have noticed we’re running a competition to give away a Collector’s Edition of Dark Souls 3. You may be one of the many, many sun-worshippers who want a slice of that. It’s time to find out if you’ve won, or if Patches has taken your name out of the running.

“As fires fade and the world falls into ruin, developer FROM SOFTWARE and director Hidetaka Miyazaki continue their critically-acclaimed and genre-defining series with Dark Souls III. Fans and newcomers alike will get lost in the games hallmark rewarding gameplay and immersive graphics. Now only embers remain…”

And according to the robotic overlords at Random.org, the winner today is…

DS3Winner

Denver Le Roux! Here’s what he’s won:

DS3CE

  • 10? Red Knight Statue
  • Prima Starter Guide
  • Official Dark Souls III Soundtrack
  • Official art book
  • Cloth game map
  • Collector’s box
  • Dark Souls III Software on XBOX ONE

That Red Knight Statue isn’t just a plastic piece of garbage either, as we showed you in our closer look.

“The detail on the Red Knight is equally impressive, with every link of chainmail, buckle on the armour and chink in the plate recreated in exquisite detail. From the boots all the way to the helmet, every inch of the statue is well textured, with plenty of details to be found upon closer inspection.”

You can see what everybody not named Denver Le Roux won here.

Hey Dude. Just a quick question. I was messing around with a few settings on my modem. I read a few soloutions to speed things up and when I tried this one, enable UPNP it seemed to speed things up dramatically. My download speeds jumped from barely 4 megs per second to 16 megs pers second. I played The Division and it felt much better. Should I still set up a static IP and do port forwarding ? And does dmz even make a difference here in SA ?

You won’t need to apply a static IP, or at least, it won’t make much of a difference in the current setup, the port forwarding should only apply if you get shaped and want a quick way around it, but going from 4 to 16 is a massive jump already! What happened to me was that my PS wouldn’t download patches faster than 250kbps, granted in a 3G covered area, while doing a quick speed test revealed, on the PS, a speed of 7.5-7.8 Mbps on two separate occasions, I specified the google DNS (in the internet settings on the PS) and voila, now at least I get correlating DL speeds…

I read something about googles DNS. Next time there is a big patch, I will try it. Dude, The Division feels way nicer now. I guess the true test will be in a couple of hours after the maintenance. If I only bothered to look a year ago……..

Maybe it’s time to Indulge in some COD or Destiny.

No, no, huh uh, no, that’s a bad idea… Just joking, those “Hauuoeouoioaoiueyuiiooweyeoooooooiii” routers are quite good, when in an actual LTE full signal area (central saaantoeriun) I got 40Mbps, and easily maintainable too, the problem with speeds as high as that is that you could finish a 100GB Telkom package in a few hours, literally….

I’m glad man, nothing sucks quite as badly as knowing you can get better internet speeds and when you check it it seems like the modem just sits there, waving at you from behind it’s cocktail under the beach umbrella…

Yeah, and all my ranting over something that I could have solved ages ago if I bothered to google it. Ironically, ever since my abstinence from COD I have worried about speeds and now this has happened. They should make a add about this and say, this is your brain on Call of Duty….. Mmm I wondr who would play me in the ad ? Ah, I know. Leo de Caprio 😉

I’d be totally bummed that I didn’t get this if I wasn’t already knee deep into it! About 3 hours of play racked up, only 3 deaths so far. And two of them were STUPID mistakes.
