Marvel-Now-1

When it comes to reboots, I think Marvel Now! from back in 2012 was a perfect example of how to reinvigorate a comic book universe properly. Not a continuity reboot, but more of a shuffling of creative teams, the initiative gave birth to dozens of new series, storylines and ideas over a three year period. Thanks to Marvel Now!, we got the likes of Mighty Thor, Indestructible Hulk and the Superior Spider-Man, comics that took familiar heroes in wild new directions.

And now it’s time for Marvel Now! 2.0. This October sees the first wave of many new and returning comic books under that reborn setup for creative reboots that ends the current era of the “All-New, All-Different” Marvel Universe once Civil War II wraps up. Marvel has been teasing a ton of new changes to the status quo, but it’s the Previews Catalogue which has revealed a whole lot of new #1s on the way.

Everything from Genndy Tartakovsky’s long-gestating Cage! series, the return of the Great Lakes Avengers and Doctor Doom becoming the Infamous Iron Man. Here’s the full list, with covers from CBR:

Just wanted to say thanks for reporting on comic book related news like you do. Most news outlets who do do it from the side of a movie fan of the characters trying to understand the comic side and failing. You’re now my go to for comic book news. Keep it up Darryn. You’re a legend.

DC is currently neck-deep in the Rebirth initiative, Valiant is trail-blazin’ with 4001 AD and I really need to brush back up on Dark Horse. TO THE BAT-CREDIT CARD!
