DC Rebirth redesigns for the Teen Titans revealed

Teen-Titans

The Teen Titans have always been divisive characters. Because let’s face it, the older you get and the more comics you buy with your disposable income, the more you hate those damn kids that flaunt their youth, ability to go a whole night without needing to use the toilet and their unblemished organs which haven’t fallen to years of abuse from having a cup of vodka for breakfast every morning.

So on the one hand, you have an audience of youngsters who want to start reading comic books. And on the other hand you have the parent who looks at the Teen Titans with disgust as they remember how Young Justice was taken off the air way too soon. Because kids man. KIDS. Anyway, with DC Rebirth on the way and everyone getting a redesign, so are the youngest team of heroes in that universe.

CBR posted the following images, which show off Robin, Kid Flash, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy in their new threads, as designed by Jonboy Meyers. Check it out:

I like it. The actual costumes are very much in tune with their classic looks, albeit with modern updates. Naturally, I can see older readers having a fit over the casual clothes that the Teen Titans are wearing, a Reddit thread I am more than excited to visit once it opens up and the whinging begins. The new Teen Titans series kicks off in October, with Meyers and writer Benjamin Percy leading the charge as Robin assumes command of a team that doesn’t want him.

Because Robin is a little dick and has been ever since he was first introduced several years ago. ANYWAY! If you’re looking for some Teen Titans fun, try watching Teen Titans Go, my current guilty pleasure cartoon. Or the recent Teen Titans vs. Justice League movie. It was rather solid, and pretty damn enjoyable. DC Rebirth kicks off this Wednesday, with the whole universe getting a big shake-up.

  1. Starfire’s costume is boss, but what I really want to know is when is PowerGirl getting her boob window back. That boob window is hella important to me, man! #BoobWindowSavesLives

    I am kinda sad that Starfire was pretty much disregard to the babysitter and big mum of the group. I would’ve liked it better if she were in The Titans instead tbvh, but whatever it’s my luck. ;;

    I love it but my problem with this is that starfire as an adult plus a babay siter is weird i prefer raven as an adult starfire is like the hulk who can,t control her self she is too free ,open,and childish and. As for robin i dont want him being a bitch. I want him to act like is age insted of a grown up telling people what too do .just becuase he is the main charcter dosent mean he should lead the team. .i dont like the idea of starfirr being a grown up when she more childish and open minded it raven that should lead the team .and i swere if this searis is going to be just about damian and is stupid adult like atitude then its crap insted of making damian to be like batman let him be is own character like nightwing..i like every thing about the idea but its weird becuse in the original series starfire is the younger one and raven is more of an adult. But i might manage too like it if the story is good .also please dont let this show be like naruto wwre all the guys do more than the girls let it be a team effort and dont let it be about raven and trigon all the time .starfire is there and her background story about aliens wanting.to capture her is cool. And she has a lot of enemies let someone from her past like black fire be the bad guys insted of trigon and raven every time .use other characters aswell. I hope the show is intesting

    I really wish they let Raven would grow out of her ‘Teen’ phase. She deserves to be in the big leagues like our pal Cyborg. Perhaps the Titans one with the old Wally and Nightwing or the JL Dark. She needs more supernatural friends.
