| | Sony pleads with developers to stick around | Gavin Mannion - October 20th, 2007 | The Sony bigwigs have been in contact with some developers recently to try and convince them not to dump the PS3. One piece of news that came out this week was that Sony pleaded with third-party developers not to abandon its struggling platform. That change in attitude is a marked difference compared to the arrogance of ... [»] |

| Resistance: Fall Of Man 2 Details | Gavin Mannion - October 15th, 2007 | Kotaku is reporting on some rumours about the next episode of Resistance: Fall of Man. Aside from the first and last level, the game takes place entirely in the United States, where someone who may or may not be Sgt. Nathan Hale (who plays a role in the story) has to deal with the Chimeran invasion of the US in such ... [»] |

| Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid Coming to Xbox 360 – Rumour Revived | Gavin Mannion - September 28th, 2007 | So another of the constant industry rumours is back, it is being reported that the negotiations to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy to the 360 are in an advanced state. The only thing standing in the way now is that Microsoft doesn't want its money being used to fund the PS3's development. Now I feel when a rumour like this just doesn't die down it is normally true. Think about the constant rumours ... [»] |

| Halo 3 ships 45 000 units in Japan in 24 hours | Gavin Mannion - September 28th, 2007 | I just don't see Japan ever following the Xbox 360's worldwide popularity. While 45 000 is a decent enough take for first day sales it really does pale in comparison to the 2.7 million that were shipped in the US. What I don't understand however is why does Microsoft keep on punting money into the Japanese market that could be better used else where? For the same amount of money they could have rolled out Live support to us and most of Eastern Europe and I am pretty sure that they shipped more than 45 000 copies in all of these territories combined. | Halo 3 To Push Xbox 360 Way Ahead of Wii, PS3 | Gavin Mannion - September 26th, 2007 | So yet another website which believes that Halo 3 may be the final piece of the puzzle the Xbox 360 needs to win this generations console war. However this one is different since it's a site dedicated to the PS3... The launch of Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 is upon us and it is expected that it is going to create a wave of momentum for the Xbox 360 which may allow it to pull way ahead of the Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3. PS3 Center even mentions that Halo 3 may be the greatest game of the last decade, I don't know about that but it sure is moving the units quickly ... [»] |

According to this anonymous 'source' the new rumbling SDK's have been delivered to the developers and we can expect an announcement at the Tokyo Game Show this week. This can't come quick enough for Sony as that existing sixaxis is ... [»] |

| FIFA 08 gets 5v5 online, 11 vs 11 in future!! | feo - August 22nd, 2007 | Holy crap batman! EA has just made an announcement of orgasmic proportions (well, to me anyway). Fifa 08 will allow you to go online with..wait for it...9 other people all playing in one single match. You team up with 4 buddies and play against another team of 5 humans. Each person controls one player with the rest being controlled by the computer. Bad news is, this feature won't be available right out the box but this functionality will be added through an online update. Even better is that EA's ultimate goal (no pun ... [»] |

| Jack Tretton On Disappointment With Sony’s Video on Demand | Gavin Mannion - July 15th, 2007 | Possibly the first interview I have seen or read with Jack Tretton where I actually felt for the guy. Kotaku is asking him where the Video on Demand service for the PS3 is and Jack goes on to say it is one of the biggest frustrations that one of the largest movie and music distribution companies in the world cannot agree on how to do this. It will be coming, but not likely in 2007 and hopefully before the end of 2008. I can't embed the video so take the jump and watch it.
