gl Batman

As long as there has been a Batman, there has been a reason for criminals to fear the night. And an even bigger reason to make some mad cash. Batman Arkham Origins happens to be one of those games that has more costumes than you can shake a batarang at. Here’s a look at five of those costumes that you won’t see in the final game. Probably.

Zur En Arrh Batman

Durr en arr

What happens when Batman decides to program his own brain with a backup personality in case anything happens to his core persona?

You get lunatic Batman, a madman who runs around fighting and kicking as much criminal gluteus maximus as possible while hopped up on adrenal stimulation, with a batsuit that was just begging for an ass-kicking.

(PS: I’m aware of the Arkham Asylum Zur En Arr Batsuit. But that’s a fan mod. Doesn’t count.)

1943 movie serial Batman

1943 batman

The 1940’s film Batman is pretty much the poster child for how not to spend your trust fund. With a suit that looks like it was sewn together by blind lepers, this Batman made the 1960s Adam West version look like a Hulked out Bruce Lee in comparison.

But at least he was on the side of the allies and helped sell war bonds. After all, could Batman stoop any lower?

Nazi Batman

Nazi Batman

Oh for frig’s sake.

World War II took place from 1939 to 1945. In an alternate universe where Batman was part of the Axis equation, that entire war most likely took around an afternoon to be decided, because Bat-reasons. Oh, and this Batman is totally up for planting a sock on his barrack door, judging by the fact that he chased more tail than a platoon of Robert F Kennedy super-clones.

Dark Claw Batman

Dark Claw

What would happen if the time/space continuum decided to mush Batman and Wolverine together into one dangerously unhinged psychopath with parental issues, a healing factor, knife-hands and too much money?

You’d get Dark Claw, a hero who made child sidekick endangerment a reality and lasted all but one issue back in the crazy dark ages that were known as the mid 1990s.

Ice to meet you Batman

Batman ice suit

Ironically, the one time a batsuit could have used rubber nipples to devastatingly comedic effect, would have been when Batman took on an ice-based villain who used puns much in much the same way that Government uses taxpayers cash. Without remorse or taste.

  1. I’d actually love to see the Zur En Arrh costume.
As for the nipple suit… this is why we can’t have ice things.

Production companies behind the films usually prevent live action suits from making their way into games. So don’t expect Bale, Keaton or even Clooney…

I never knew that actually. I always wondered why they missed out on that oppurtunity to increase brand awareness of other media.

It is ironically also the reason why Marvel/Disney can’t make Spiderman movies. Cause they don’t own the movie rights to their own franchise. 😛

Well they don’t own the live action movie rights. As far as I understand Marvel/Disney can still make Spiderman cartoons.

Indeed but movie rights generally refer to live action movies. Cartoons fall under animation rights.

Yeah the falls under animation as well as CGI movies like toy story. So it is quite possible for Fox to buy the movie rights for toy story to make a live action movie and Disney will still have the rights to make a toy story 7 (or was it 8? :P). What a weird and wonderful place America is.

Batman & Robin *shudders* That was more like a version the Joker thought up. Imagine a Two Face Batman. Half bat half man, secret identity right out the window
