Batgirl

While the debate over who’s the best Robin is a topic that will rage on for many a decade (IT’S JERRY LEWIS YOU HEATHENS!) , the best Batgirl will always be Barbara Gordon. That’s not even up for debate. Sorry Cassandra Cain, you’ll always be a distant second with that freaky fetish mask of yours.

She’s the Batgirl that just about everybody is familiar with, a prodigy ass-kicker who can match the original dark knight in the brains department and with a spunky attitude that makes her a version of the Batman myth that younger fans can relate to.

She’ll be getting her own chance to shine in Batman Arkham Knight, as Barbara Gordon’s time as the Batgirl headlines the first batch of story DLC available for the game on July 14.

Batgirl

Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be set before the events of Arkham Asylum, and will feature an all-new location with multiple missions, side quests and secrets; a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles; and Dual Play functionality with Robin for dynamic take-down manoeuvres,” according to the official blurb.

I’m kind of curious to see how Batgirl handles when compared to the other Gotham vigilantes. Nightwing has speed and agility, Robin packs his own set of gadgets to zip around with and Catwoman will practice her Indiana Jones skills on your face. The price tag for the DLC is at $6.99/£5.79/ R111.

Or you can fork out for the ridiculously hefty $40 season pass. Remember, that’s a ton o’ cash for a promise of good content. Something that most of you have taken with a mountain-pinch of salt already. Smart chaps.

Anyway, if you haven’t played it yet, Batman Arkham Knight isn’t only damn good, it’s the definitive Batman game around. Because Batmobiles make everything in life, better. Unless you’re playing on PC, that is.

Warner Bros are still wiping the egg off their face from the whole PC port thing and they’re all like, “Guys, btw here’s some DLC”.

    Shame……..not even once.

Definitive Batman game – look, I’m actually kind of sad. It IS the definitive Batman game, but little things really REALLY frustrate me about the game and no one is talking about this issue:

Combat. It’s messy, it sucks, it rewards endless slamming of the punch button as Batman zips across the tarmac like The Flash. Try to get clever and put in some timing and/or direction input and see your ass. Then there’s things like the Brutes – more than 1 in a group, forget it… you’re done for (in a cheap, unsatisfying sense… not a challenging one).

The game leaves you high and dry in terms of combat strategy – it’s a case of slamming a button and trying to remember a specific input to use on specific badguys. Boring.

I’m gonna be honest. Batman AK kinda bores me… I’m like 34% in and the repetitiveness is killing me… Especially those Riddler racing tracks… FML, there is this one time trial where you have to race while The Riddler fidgets around with the track just for the LULz

Almost threw my controller at the TV after like 30 attempts… And the crap thing is, if you screw up in the middle of the race you cant just like do a quick retry.. YOU have to do go through the whole entire TRACK!

A lot of missions make me think that this game was rushed, either that or, Witcher 3 spoiled me rotten with its content.

If the game “arkham knight” allow players to change batgirl’s costume into alternative mode which could be lingerie bat suit or one which show off her cleavage etc, i will certainly going to buy this game.
