TombRaider

Tomb Raider finally arrives next year, and it puts a fresh spin on the iconic character, swapping bra sizes for actual character development. So just how long is that journey of self discovery then, and could it lead to a sequel? The answer? Maaaaaaybe!

According to Crystal Dynamics global brand director Karl Stewart, it’s going to be a lengthy one. Tweeting about the game on the official Tomb Raider account, Stewart says that the campaign should set gamers back about a dozen hours or so;

Stewart also dropped some more gaming tidbits, and said that Lara would not be able to regenerate health like a Canadian mutant with anger issues, or have the ability to swim. Which is pretty damn weird, considering that every single Tomb Raider game has allowed Lara to take a plunge into some cold water.

As for the case of sequelitis, Stewart said that as usual, it was all down to sales at the end of the day;

Tomb Raider is out next year on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, following a lengthy delay from it’s original 2012 release date. Here’s hoping that extra polish was worth the wait.
