TMNT

Aw yeah, who’s ready for a slice of nostalgia that is mixed with half-shell jokes and pizza puns? Just me? Okay then. Activision has been working on a new Turtles game starring the latest incarnation of the cult classic teenaged turtle shinobi, for a while now. And now, the Krang is finally out of the really strangely dressed robot bodybuilder and I have no idea where this train of thought is going. Damn you eighties cartoons!

According to DigitalSpy, Mushroom Men and Ghostbusters Wii developer Red Fly Studios is behind the latest game, which will be a downloadable titlefor PC, Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. And it doesn’t look half bad for a downloadable game. Third person brawling is a genre that I’m perhaps a tad too comfortable with, and the overall art style looks fun and frantic. Unfortunately, it looks like you won’t get to play as my favourite Turtle, Shredder, so I’ll just have to settle for Donatello instead. Ah, remember those NES days when he his staff was amazing? Wait, that came out wrong…

Out of the Shadows will also have four player co-op, and is the first game in a trilogy that Activision is planning.

What happened to their faces? Btw does anybody remember the turtle comics that were in the huisgenoot yeeeeaaars ago? Did that series have a name? I would really like to read them again, in english preferably… I remember Shredder shrunk them at one point and they fought a sewer snake while floating on a piece of soap. In fact they fed the soap to the snake.

I think that those may have been from the Archie Comics line of TMNT comics.
