The MSSA has announced that the 2013 MWEB Online StarCraft II Championship will take place on 10 August 2013. This championship may determine eligibility in national team trials, and you can even apply to be a shout-caster.
The championship is accredited with the same status as provincial championships. This means that it shall be used for
- Awarding of provincial colours
- Awarding of medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Premier, Under 24 and School categories
- Ability to qualify for national team trials
The online tournament takes place 10 August 2013, with the first round beginning at 14:00. Players will get 60 minutes to complete each round. The tournament will run via the EU battle.net server and all fully paid registered players are eligible to compete – entry is FREE! You need to enter before Thursday, 8 August, though. This means you can spend your public holiday getting ready. The MSSA will decide who may shout-cast the games, but anyone who wants to apply can do so in writing to mindsportssa@iafrica.com

Still need to finish the SC2 campaign before I can even contemplate the expansion. Good luck to those who enter.

Back in 2007 we used to joke that our one friend should get provincial colours for Warcraft! Now it seems it is possible!
