Bad news everyone! Back in 1999 when The Simpsons began a long descent into crapville that it has still yet to surface from, he brought about Futurama. A fresh and clever show set in the future, it was ultimately too smart to remain on television. It’s been cancelled before, but it managed to revive itself. Pity that this time, it really is the end for that witty show. Again.
The final block of episodes for the series, 13 in total, kicks off in America on July 3rd, with a one hour premiere. It’s the final, final season for good this time, according to Bender himself, Joe DiMaggio. And I’ll miss that show.
From Fry struggling to fit in, to Leela karate-chopping her way out of a trouble and the saddest episode ever revolving around Fry’s dog, the show hit a hell of a lot of highlights when it found its groove. So what can you expect in the season to end all seasons?
Well, crazy paradoxes, dimensions, an homage to The Thing and a decent swansong for Bender Bending Rodriguez according to DiMaggio:
At least I didn’t go out like Fry’s dog, that’s something.
Once more into the breach meat-bags!

WTF…..can’t they leave the good stuff alone for a change? First Gargoyles, now Futurama?

Yeah, Batman Beyond was cool. Was about the time that there were some Superman and Batman cartoons out that all had like the same art style. Was all great series’ too watch.

That episode with Fry’s dog is probably the saddest thing on TV ever, except for that 1st 2min of the movie UP and the XBone announcement?

Well at least you found out that fry travels back in time and becomes Lars. So Frys dog isn’t all alone throughout his entire life. Although bender does end up killing the dog accidentally whilst trying to kill fry. (That part gets complicated)

Gees I’m devistated this has officially ruined my day. I remember watching the first episode of futurama on open time when I was a kid. Since then it’s been my go to series, often having it playing in the background whilst playing games like wow, or re watching the movies in bed whilst trying to fall asleep. When it got put back on the air I did a little dance for joy.
Oh well at least I can now buy the box set without worrying about new seasons being released. Silver linings right?

“woop woop woop woop woop woop woop” has made me laugh for so many years. “Bite my shiny metal ass” it’s over. “Aah it’s a one eyed mutant” I can’t believe it.
Leela: Fry, you’re wasting your life in front of that tv. You’ve got to get out and see the real world.
Fry: But this is HDTV, it’s got better resolution than the real world.
Futurama might be cancelled now, but we are not done with Futurama, so it will be back. Hopeful, at least, woop woop.
