Home Gaming Playstation 4: Used Games Supported?

Playstation 4: Used Games Supported?

There has been a huge cloud over just how the next generation of consoles will handle the used gamers market. We have seen how Microsoft will handle things, but what of Sony?

USED GAMES ARE FULLY SUPPORTED! Furthermore, there is no online requirement whatsoever! In an obvious stab at Microsoft, the announcement states that a gamer will not need to make a connection every 24 hours. The crowd is absolutely loving this announcement, and I don’t blame them at all.

If you want to play your game offline, you can do so. If you want to trade the game in, you can do so. If you want to lend a game to a friend, you can do so. Playstation are hitting all the right chords, making gamers around the world beyond relieved as well as incredibly happy.

Another good piece of information; a gamer can carry over their PS+ subscription to the Playstation 4. In the first month of the PS4, gamers will receive three of the announced indie games as part of their PS+ subscription.

Your move Microsoft… your move.

And with that Sony has won the Interwebs….

However, now the question is, were they planning to go down the same route as MS?

It would be smart to announce the console, wait to see what the competitor does, and then change the product to outwit them and ACTUALLY LISTEN to the consumer…

I could see them shitting themselves after the Xbone release and working a couple of nights to change it up. Very smart move on their behalf. I am a hardcore Microsoft fan, i even studied through Microsoft. I sung their praises, and shoved my 360 down the throats of my PS3 friends. And now, I am afraid Sony has won me over. The Playstation fan base has had the last laugh.

        RIP Xbox

Does it matter. I don’t care what they planned. For me it’s what they actually did.

It’s not just the fanboys they’ve pleased. It’s not just the other disgruntled console owners either. I’ve been a pc-gamer for about 25 years and this announcement has finally made me seriously consider making the switch to console. Wanna guess which one I’m thinking of? 🙂

And right here Sony blows MS out of the water. Along with their console costing $100 less and I think we have a clear winner

I’m very fond of my Xbox 360 mostly because it was cheaper than the ps3 and I liked Gears of War 1-3. But I’m sad to say with all the crap about the Xbox One having to connect to the interwebs every 24 hours it put the nail in the coffin.

I don’t really care about selling or trading games as I have never done so (I don’t buy crap games, so the ones I do have I keep). If MS can bring down their console by $50 and remove the stupid Always Online BS I might consider getting one 3-4 years after launch

Sony, you rock! Microsoft have some major changes to make if they want to stand a chance of competing but I doubt they will.

You do realise tha some people can afford the XBox One at whatever price it is and those same people can afford always-on internet. Not everyone is a rural gamer.
