Agent

Back in 2007, Sony announced that GTA developer Rockstar was hard at work on a Playstation 3 exclusive title. That’s all. No name, no genre, no date or any other information was given until two years later, at E3, when the game was shown to be called Agent. We’ve heard very little about the game since, other than a quick quote from Take 2 saying that it was still in development.

We’ve now got the first ever images from the game, courtesy of the portfolio of one of the game’s environmental artists, Leigh Donoghue.

Agent, says Rockstar, takes players on a "paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s." It may or may not still be a PS3 exclusive. When last pressed on the issue, Sony’s Jack Tretton said “Agent is still in development…but I’m not sure exactly where we’ll land on that [exclusivity], that’s more something for Rockstar to decide, but I’m sure we’ll have a great offering on Agent for PS3.”

Here’s what the game looked like back in 2009. I think it’s safe to assume it looks substantially better now.
