Final Fantasy Type-0 was one of those games that sounded utterly awesome but never left Japan. When news leaked out this morning that it would be releasing on mobile, it got me a little jittery inside. But then Destroid used their powers of Japanese sources to find out that this is not the game we’re looking for.Final Fantasy Agito is a strange spinoff on the Final Fantasy Type-0 game that is coming to iOS and Android at the end of this year. However, it seems that the name and possibly some cool visuals are about the only things it will have in common with what we know and love about Final Fantasy. According to Destructoid , the game will be free-to-play, but will have microtransactions including paid continues. But the bad news continues:
There also seems to be a weird, episodic story structure wherein new chapters are released every two weeks and the story evolves or changes based on player input, possibly a voting system, like a cooperative choose your own adventure.
Really? C’mon Square Enix, what are you doing? I’ve been a huge fan of theirs since I was a little-girl gamer, but this is ridiculous. Talk about selling out – I really don’t know what they are thinking here. I just worry that these ideas are going to spill over into the ‘real’ Final Fantasy games. Sure, I’m still excited for Final Fantasy XV, but all the other FF news has been pretty depressing – I’m not sure how much faith I can maintain in the franchise.

They are shitting on my memories, these guys used to be my heroes, I was a loyal fan, and now, fuck em, i never expected this bullshit.
Im not even excited for FF15 anymore, I know they will fuck it up.
Looking onward to another studio to fill the gaping void I have.
