SPERTS

BACK IN MY DAY, we never used to show off when we scored a goal! That’s something you’ll most likely hear constantly from the older fans of the beautiful game, jai alai soccer football. FIFA 14 doesn’t give a damn though, as you’ll be able to gloat with the best of them when it releases. Here’s how.

Coming next week: How to get tapped on your foot and then win the Oscar for best crybaby performance. Ever.

I can take all the celebrations but 3:
    – Picking up the ball after you scored first and running back with it waiving at your team mates to come… (Like you will score 10 or more goals)
    – The shush celebration with the finger in front of your mouth (Don’t know why but this pisses me off)
    – I can’t hear you with the hand cupped to the ear (I want to shout so hard that the dude in Finland can hear me cussing without a headset)
The rest is good fun and I take them in my stride…..

I will be breaking quite a bit of remotes with that one… Leading 1-0 to get promotion and your guys miss kicks the clearance, the ball falls to their keeper in your penalty area and he scores with his shoulder… And he runs off doing the gangnam style…. Remote into wall, no more play till I fix it with the other broken remotes…

Watched Suarez play for country last night.

He stole a penalty. Again. There must be sanction after the fact, surely.

They will never do that, the official is almighty in football not like in American football, rugby or cricket where the TV now helps with the 50-50 calls. I am a Liverpool fan, and this makes me worry because he won’t get a penalty for us even if he is fouled… In England you can get a certain stigma very quickly… unless you are from England…

Indeed, I fear you are correct. But it really, really gets my goat.

It makes us mad as well because he keeps on falling over for country and gets penalties and then we suffer at Liverpool… He didn’t get at least 4 penalties last season because of who he is…

I still play fifa 2010. Worth, in your opinion, upgrading?

I would say that you could upgrade again. 2010 was revolutionary and from there on they have just added a few things each year, but if you get 2014 I would suspect it will feel like a brand new game series to you… 2013 added “bad” touch which really does change how you play… I will let you know how 2014 is in two weeks time!!

Read yesterday that in Major League Soccer they will be reviewing all games and any diving will be sanctioned. Now just get the rest of the world to come to the party.

Ok, the last one (Messi) and the 1st on (van Persie) look realistic, i.e. those players do that. But come on! What a crock of shit.

In my day (yes, I played SOCCER!) there was no showboating. If you danced around like that, the rest of the team would have a chat to you afterwards. At night. In a dark spot. With a lead pipe. Caus’ the lads care, see.

Yip, rewatched. Certainly Ronaldo does that fairly often.

Sturridge is young and will learn….. But he looks ever so stupid

but, watch this for the best ShowBoating ever. Just ever.

partially. And Spurs. And Everton. And WBA. I just love soccer. Love watching it, loved playing it.

But that sheer arrogance is just so over the top. I love it.
