FFXV leaked demo video goes in deep

FFXV 1

At some embargoed events, they will actually take away people’s phones to ensure that they don’t record what transpires. Someone obviously forgot to do that at a Final Fantasy XV demo session, leading to this leaked video.

The YouTube video was leaked here, but seeing as it will probably be pulled, here’s our magical version of the video:

The video shows off all kinds of visual effects, from terrain creation and day/night cycles to pores on the skin and special hair styles. Final Fantasy games have been known for pushing the boundaries of graphics on every console, and it appears that FF XV will be no different. With this much attention to detail and faithful construction of characters and environment, the game should be a return to form for the franchise. At least, I hope so.

I’m happy to see some pretty images, but I’m a whole lot more interested in gameplay and storyline for this game. I have faith in the team at Sqaure Enix that they will make a gorgeous Final Fantasy game – that’s just what they do. I’m more worried about if they will fall into the same traps as other Final Fantasy games, or if this will finally be another solid title that I can happily sink hundreds of hours into. Oh, who am I kidding – I will buy this game no matter what just because it’s a numbered Final Fantasy game. I’m a complete sucker.

Are you an idiot like me, who will buy this game just because of its franchise pedigree, or have you been burned too many times in the past?

Burned too many times? not really, though they have completely stuffed up the prev generation (Though I don’t consider XIII a bad game) I’m waiting for the demo, but hot damn this looks good. But one thing is for sure, I’m getting Type-0, day one. not just for the demo but I’ve waited long to play it in english

Final Fantasy has become more Otaku Jpop. I suppose that Alien culture drew us to the franchise in the first place. Lets hope they never westernize another FF game like FFXIII ever again.

AND KEEP THE JAPANESE SUBS AND MUSIC now that the DVD9 is dead, dont tell me there is no more room.

have you ever looked at the art from the other games? Amano has always draw androgenous protagonists, it was one of the main diferences between it and dragon quest, hell if you ask most anyone about it, they will say the art is good.

Isn’t that a good thing. As a skyrim modder myself I’m a thrilled. Modded skyrim is one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. Regular skyrim not so much…

Lets just agree that FFXIII was graphically better than The Last of Us. TLOU is a superb game however its not as good looking as Lightning and her world 😛

The last Final fantasy game I owned was 7 on the Ps1 so they better not stuff it up 🙂 I am concerned that it went all Beverly Hills 90210

After the disaster known as Final Hallway XIII I’ll wait for the reviews to persuade or warn me.

XIII was not a horrible game (cannot say the same for he sequels) and a realm reborn is actually a damn good game/mmo.

However the main issue with Square is they cannot write a good story for shit anymore and it’s all graphics graphics, bishi characters, graphic graphic graphics.

15 visually look impressive, but other than that looks plain, dull and generic with rehashed anime archtype male characters taking a shot the american bromance setting.

I stopped considering myself a fan of the series a loooong time ago, I am fan of FF5 – FF10 lol, that’s it.

So yeah not going to run out and buy this on pre-order like I used too, more than happy to wait till it get’s a price drop then look at getting it. Or even better hopefully get’s a steam release.

Wait, so…bromance is an American only thing? Sorry to tell you this but we didn’t invent the bromance. It’s been around for a very long time.

I’m with you though, it’s been the same for me excluding 10. But FFXV looks really promising from both a story, music, and visual standpoint. I like the looks of everything outside some of the characters.
