Batman Arkham Knight delayed to June 23, but here’s a new trailer!

Arkham Knight

Are your Dark Knight undies filled with as much anticipation for Batman: Arkham Knight as mine are? If you said yes, then you’re my kind of messed up individual. Bad news however: You’re going to have to wait a few weeks longer for the game to release, as June 2 is no longer B-day for the B-man.

Instead, Batman: Arkham Knight will be out on June 23, which is after E3. Which might be a bit of a savvy choice really, considering that the game would have been swamped in the E3 rush.  That also gives it a massive window devoid of any real competition, to take advantage of. It also means that I’ll be in the shower again, crying my eyes out over a three week delay. The struggle guys. The struggle is real. Here’s a new trailer then, to tide you over. Or rub salt in my wounds.

This is getting as bad as Project Cars. Don’t get me wrong – I’m psyched for Project Cars and Batman Arkham Knight and I want them to take as much time as they need to make these games great. But I just wish that, if they’re gonna delay it, delay it by enough time to get it done… Not by a ‘best guestimate-oh-sh$t-we’re-running-outta-time-again’.

Still looking forward to them though!

You can’t release a big game like Batman 14 days after The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3 is going to suck people in and people will want to invest their time into the game. 100 hours won’t happen in 4 – 8 days.

So Batman going for the end of June is very smart. I meant not even be finished with The Witcher 3 by then but that’s just me. After people play The Witcher 3 they are going to want to play something good, the next best thing, Let’s hope Batman lives up to the hype. Or will that Batman story kill it. Batman combat will save the game but I have a feeling a lot will hold it back from being the best.
Witcher 3 should win this year, maybe even the next few years.

    Don’t Support DRM.

I wonder if this new Batman will be longer than Batman Arkham City? Or are we looking at another short ass story.

By doing that you are saying to them it’s ok to mess you around. Would you go to a restaurant and have them tell you “ummm there’s a bit of a delay with the food, can you wait 15 minutes? ”

        Four times? ?

I played Batman Arkham City recently. I might not be ready for more of the same. So don’t replay the previous Batman games before buying this new one.

I’ve just re-played both recently (within the last month) so I get what you’re saying while at the same time I’d like to think my skills are enhanced right now because of my replays (the plan was to only have to worry about learning to drive).

lol we can’t blame PC as they’ve yet to release the PC version at the same time as the console version. I hope this delay means that they will release it at the same time but I have my doubts.

As for GTA I’m hoping I’ll at least have it by then to not care too much.

WOW ARE THEY FUCKING KIDDING??? THREE WEEKS??? THEY COULDN’T PLAN FOR THREE WEEKS???

WHAT PATHETIC EXCUSE IS IT NOW?????

This is seriously fishy. We’re looking at almost a year’s delay. Another drive club?

Screw this game. I will not pander to these ridiculous developers and their bullshit excuses for incompetence.

Sadly I will probably be the only one with enough resolve to stand for not being messed around.

It’s not about being impatient. Three weeks is nothing. But don’t announce something for 2014 then delay it four times till (maybe) a year later.

There’s nobody to take these guys to task for this poor planning or whatever it is.

I’m doing my part to put these guys to task by refusing to purchase, no matter how great this thing may turn out to be.

I wish there were a regulation stating that devs should only be allowed to announce products once they’re gone gold. Or with each delay they should reduce the price by $10. That’ll make them work.
