Heavy Rain’s “Visually Uneven” Says Alan Wake Mo-Cap Guy

 - March 30th, 2010
Mark Carson, head motion capture specialist at CaptiveMotion – the company responsible for Xbox 360 exclusive Alan Wake’s Motion capture - has said the Quantic Dream PS3 exclusive was technically incredible but flawed. “It’s beautiful and brilliant but visually uneven at points, which unfortunately is the nature of the industry because of the scope, budgets and time-frames required,” he said, in an interview with VG247. “I would ... Battlefield Bad Company 2 VIP Map Pack Trailer

 - March 30th, 2010
Tomorrow’s the day that the overpriced Modern Warfare 2 map pack lands on the networks and to counter that EA will be releasing the first Battlefield Bad Company 2 map pack for the wondrous price of nothing (if you bought the game new). This tactic of giving away free DLC to people who bought the game new and charging the second hand game holders for it is a great idea in my opinion and a nice way to promote paying full retail for the game. If MW2 ... [»]

Kids choir sing “Still Alive”

 - March 30th, 2010
Portal is remembered for two things, it’s incredible physics puzzles and that song at the end. That song is titled “Still Alive” and here it is being sung, really really well, by a kids choir group. Granted the words are possibly inappropriate for young children to be singing but since the tune is so peaceful I am not sure most of the parents even realised this. You Really Care

God Of War III Glitch Results in Super Kratos

 - March 29th, 2010
There’s a glitch in Sony Santa Monica’s excellent God of War III that allows everyone’s favourite killer of gods, Kratos, to have a maxed-out arsenal of weapons when starting a new game. This makes it significantly easier to get all the game’s trophies while doing hardly any of the work – decreasing the value of the trophies of ... [»]

Xbox’s Major Nelson’s Live Account Hacked

 - March 29th, 2010
Microsoft have regularly insisted that Xbox Live account hacks were the result of social engineering and not any sort of exploits in the service’s security. Sony Officially Nixes PS3 Linux Support

 - March 29th, 2010
It appears the rumours from last month about Sony dropping Linux support on all PS3 units is true. Just next month Sony will be releasing firmware update 3.12 that’ll kill the system’s ability to install operating systems other than its own. If you’re one of the 3 people worldwide who actually uses that feature, it might be a good time to back up your files and migrate them to another system. SCEA's Senior Director Corporate Communications & Social Media, Patrick Seybold, says feature is being removed "due to security concerns". He also – and with a ... [»]
