What are the most anticipated games of 2009?

 - April 30th, 2009
A lot of people have said that 2009 isn’t going to live up to the standards that 2008 set in gaming and that we have a pretty dry year ahead of us. Well personally I have to disagree as Uncharted 2, MW2, Assassin’s Creed 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 make for ... [»]

Dead Rising 2 – Checklist Trailer

 - April 30th, 2009
This trailer just makes this game absolutely ooze with buckets and buckets of awesome and has really gotten me very interested in it. Titled "checklist", this trailer ticks off a bunch of the traits that make our new character so interesting, and does it in a really humorous way as well with a great use of music to boot. We have already heard that the game is going to apparently be able to render something like 7000 zombies on screen at once, and ... [»]

Pirate Game Cover Design – Epic Win

 - April 30th, 2009
While we at Lazygamer.co.za do not condone piracy in any way, shape or form, we definitely have a good reason to love their designers today, and this image shows why. According to what you see in this image, you can now go to a dodgy store and pick up a copy of "GTA: San Andreas Tarazan" for PS2. Yes, Tarazan. I'm actually really interested to know what game is actually in that cover. Knowing how these sketchy pirate games work, it's probably 4 different versions of Super Mario for the NES. So then, who is interested in a GTA/Tarzan, sorry, I mean Tarazan crossover? I think it would be great, kind of like playing Crackdown with less clothing. Source: Kotaku Getting There
Gaming Sequels: The Good, The Bad & The Future (Part 1)

 - April 30th, 2009
A revelation dawned upon me the other day as I strolled through the aisles of my local Look & Listen, scanning the towering racks of DVD’s for my latest visual fix. Society has gotten lazy. No longer do we live by the norm of being the first to do this, or the first to do that, we simply go with the flow of what everyone ... [»]

MAG Debut Trailer – Hot or Not?

 - April 30th, 2009
Lots of gamers are skeptical about the new title MAG (Massive Action Game) and I think that it's mostly down to the really uninspired and cheesy name. Screenshots weren't impressing many people either, but now we have some actual in-game footage to look at, which changes the story somewhat. I do think that the game is actually looking decent and could be a lot of fun, but there is the possibility of a very sad truth for South Africans. The truth is that there ... [»]

Captivate 09 – What Has Capcom Been Hiding Away?

 - April 29th, 2009
Capcom's promotional event Captivate 09 took place just recently in the lovely city of Monte Carlo, and while all of us at Lazygamer.co.za where going to go, we thought that the venue was a little low class for us so we decided to give it a skip instead. Thankfully, IGN have low standards so they decided to go regardless and this video is a lovely little round-up of the new titles from Capcom as well as footage of the upcoming games including Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2 and Dark Void so be sure to ... The King Of Fighters XII – Terry Bogard Combo Trailer

 - April 29th, 2009
The King of Fighters series has been around for a very long time and was always seen as the true rival to Street Fighter.
