IGN Review – Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

 - February 27th, 2009
It still amazes me that filmmakers out there are still so incredibly useless at taking a gaming franchise with a lot of potential and making it into something that people would want to watch. Once again, this point is proven because when given the almighty Street Fighter franchise, these morons decided to make a movie that looks into the life of some Chun-Li woman who is obviously not the same Chun-Li from the game. It seems more to me like the guys were sitting watching Smallville and one of them turned to the other and said ... [»]

Official Trailer: GTA China Town Wars

 - February 27th, 2009
The first official trailer and gameplay video for Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars has been released and looks to unleash havoc on the Nintendo DS. The game will not be completely sticking to the original top view that I initially expected, but will be 3D with a slightly titled camera. It seems as if the developers have also opted for somewhat of a cartoony look to the game, although nothing over the top. I have put up the gameplay video after the jump. ... [»]

Guinness Compiles List of Top Games, Gets it Horribly Wrong

 - February 27th, 2009
Guinness, progenitors of the Guinness Book Of World Records (and more importantly, the black stuff that keeps most of Ireland from getting scurvy) have tasked themselves with creating a list of the top 50 console games of all time, based on their legacy and and how influential they are. They’ve also made a special note of their initial impact, and how fun they are to play. It’s a pity then, that they’ve made a right mess of it.Guinness employed a team of experts to compile this list, and while it contains some of gaming’s finest examples – it’s still mind-numbingly wrong.Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief, Craig Glenday, said of their selection process: "We knew this would be a complex task so we invited a crack team of industry experts to form a judging panel - and the result is a "top 50" list of games ranked both on their importance and on how fun they are to play."I think what he meant ...
