Halo Wars Gameplay Footage – And a lot of it

 - January 30th, 2009
Youtube user NextGenReport has posted up a string of videos showing off a total of 35 minutes of gameplay from the up and coming Xbox 360 RTS, Halo Wars. From the video it is clear to see that the overall feel of the interface and music are sticking very closely to that of the FPS series, which is probably a wise idea ... [»]

Skate 2 Filmer Pack: Are You Serious… Again?

 - January 30th, 2009
Why oh why are the gamers of this world letting companies like EA get away with this. What I am going on about is something that I actually noticed in Skate 2 the other day, but has now also been officially released. I'm talking about the filmer pack. What the filmer pack essentially is, is the full version of ... [»]

The Fuhrer Not Happy About Killzone 2 Reviews

 - January 30th, 2009
I can't say that I am entirely sure of where this whole subtitled video of Hitler thing started, but what I can say is that two more have now been released showing off The Fuhrer's anger when he finds out how good Killzone 2 is, but can't afford a PS3 because he has already spent all of his money on the Xbox 360. This video is hilarious and really shows off what the minds of many Xbox Fanboys must be thinking. There is more than one ... [»]

I couldn’t resist – Even the Xbox 360 advertising RROD’s

 - January 30th, 2009
I am pretty sure this image has been doctored but it was just to good not to post up. It’s been quite a hectic week for the Xbox 360 in the media but like the old saying goes “What goes around comes around”. Now it’s time for the 360 to show it’s pedigree and to make it out of the current media slump it has somehow ended up in. Getting There

Section 8 – New FPS looking to Fail or Fly?

 - January 30th, 2009
Although our focus has been on Killzone 2 recently, I have been hearing the name "Section 8" quite a lot lately, so I decided to go and see what all the fuss was about.Turns out that it is a new first person shooter that will be releasing on the PC and Xbox 360. I t seems that some dung hit the air-conditioner a little while back though as it was thought that it would release on both Xbox 360 and PS3 but later confirmed to only be releasing on the Xbox 360 ... Final Fantasy XIII Kick Off Trailer

 - January 30th, 2009
The game that rocked the fanboys last year is back with a new trailer and it is looking good. Whether you are a Final Fantasy fan or not you would have to admit that the graphical style they are going with is very pleasing on the eye. Though to be honest I don’t think it matters what this game looks like, it has such a huge following it will be a blockbuster even if it looked terrible.

Is XBLA failing the indie developers?

 - January 30th, 2009
When we first heard about Xbox Live Arcade it was touted as being the next best thing for indie developers or even part time guys working in their basement. The Killzone 2 Reviews are coming in

 - January 30th, 2009
The Killzone 2 NDA’s are expiring which means the reviews have started to flood in. As I come across some good (well written) ones today I will post them up so expect to see a lot of them today… The first one I have seen is the IGN video review which has some minor issues about the single player mode, lack of co-op and occasionally dodgy AI. But at the same time sums up the Multi-player as “Awesome”. The IGN written reviews have scored the game at 9.0 ... [»]

New York Lawman Looking to Lock up Games

 - January 29th, 2009
We reported previously about a Californian wookie Senator who was trying to have legislation passed that would have games labelled as dangerous. Now, New York assemblyman Brian Kolb seeks to take it a step further, and actually lock the disgusting things up. Kolb would have New York lawmakers place some rather strenuous restrictions on games, accusing them of  "advocating or glamorizing" a litany of egregious offenses, such as "commission of ... [»]
