MTV and Apple Corps Announce a Beatles Music Game

 - October 31st, 2008
Harmonix and MTV have forged an exclusive partnership with Apple Corps to create a standalone music game featuring the music of The Beatles. Surprisingly, this will not be a game carrying the Rock Band name. While the game will play in a similar fashion to what we've become accustomed to in Rock Band, they didn't actually go into any sort of detail on what the game will be like. The reasoning for not calling this Rock Band: Beatles was because this game is fully focused on The Beatles and its intention of taking you on a journey from ... [»]

NFS: Undercover – Not looking too shabby after all

 - October 31st, 2008
When I first heard that a new Need for Speed title was on it's way, I wasn't incredibly excited to tell you the truth.I though that Carbon was a step in the wrong direction and I couldn't really bother to comment on what I thought of Pro Street. Undercover is however, starting to make me take interest in the franchise again. The trailer is looking pretty fun and EA has even gotten Nissan to debut their new Nissan 370Z in the game. How the car still looked so good after slamming through a ... [»]

Trailer for a Demo? Apparently so for Mirror’s Edge

 - October 31st, 2008
With the Mirror's Edge release date looking closer (November 11) and the demo now available on Xbox Live and PSN, EA has taken a rather strange move and released a trailer for the demo. Kind of like killing two birds with one running shoe. The trailer shows off some of the tutorial gameplay as well as a trainer that is helping our protagonist get back on her feet, almost literally. With some interesting music and editing, the trailer does it's job pretty well and has certainly helped maintain my curiosity about how this ... [»]

MTV Secures The Beatles for Rock Band?

 - October 30th, 2008
MTV is preparing a major announcement this morning involving an unprecedented partnership to develop a global music project with Apple Corps Ltd. (not the iPod guys, but the multimedia corporation founded by the Beatles). Nobody knows for sure what they're planning to reveal, but considering the parties involved and their history, we can probably come up with a pretty decent guess: The Beatles may very well be coming to Rock Band. It's been rumored for a while now that the Beatles' representatives have been negotiating with both Rock Band's benefactors at MTV and Guitar Hero publisher Activision Blizzard, but it sounds like MTV might have finally sealed the deal. Adding ... [»]
