Bionic Commando Gimped on the Arcade

 - February 29th, 2008
Due to the Xbox Core/Arcade not having a hard drive the Xbox Live Arcade games have always been given a size limit. Mainly so that they can fit on memory cards. However Microsoft may soon rue that decision as the PSN service does not have the same problem and now cross platform games are starting to suffer on the 360.The first casualty is Bionic Commando. According to the developers the 360 version is not going to have the same high definition graphics as they ... [»]

Awesome Competition From The Gamers Exchange

 - February 29th, 2008
The Gamers Exchange are running an awesome competition at the moment in which you can win games for an entire year. Basically up until the 25th of April 2008 every game you trade will give you one entry into the draw. On the 28th of April the draw will take place and the lucky winner will be entitled to one game every month for an entire year. Which is probably one of the best prizes I have seen in a long time. So if you want some new games and want to win free games for a year then head on over to www.tgx.co.za. All the rules and details can be found on the site but there is nothing untoward there. The one thing that I really ... [»]

Dark Messiah is out to mixed reviews

 - February 29th, 2008
I have to apologies firstly to someone, someone sent me a bad review of Dark Messiah a while back and I had kept the tip to add to a combined story and have now lost it... Sorry to whoever that was. I was not ignoring it :( Anyway back to the point, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic has now been released locally and internationally to hugely varying reviews. The current Metacritic score is 53 which is terrible, however Game Informer gave it a 85 ... [»]

How to ruin Xbox Live or PSN for others

 - February 29th, 2008
I found this to be quite classic and very accurate. I really enjoy online gaming but I have now found a group of people who I am happy to play against and now rarely join games with strangers for this exact reason. If you are one of the people he is talking about then hopefully this will make you think twice next time. Popular
GoldenEye exists on the 360 – You can’t have it

 - February 29th, 2008
Well this leaves a bit of a bad taste in your mouth. Apparently the above image is an ingame screen shot of GoldenEye running of a Xbox 360. This isn't some weird hack, this is the full game optimised and ready for release by Rare and Activision. However you are never going to see it. Apparently Nintendo's Japanese boss, Satoru Iwata, has decided that under no circumstances may GoldenEye be released on any other platform. This is even after ... [»]

I am now excited about Home – Very Excited

 - February 28th, 2008
I was sent a tip by Naudran earlier about Home and to be perfectly honest I had little interest in reading it. I have read hundreds of stories about Home and very very few of them have been interesting. However that has all changed very quickly. Imagine you have a Warhawk clan and you are about to challenge your arch enemies. Imagine ... [»]

Crysis – Reviewed

 - February 28th, 2008
By Rob HillEvery time I fire up one of these new fan dangled games that I have heard so much hype about and been told how many levels of pixel shading is going on, that the AI has been so far improved that “you will never play the same game twice no matter how often you play” and that the physics apply to each and every individual item in the game I tend to start with an air of scepticism. Yeah ... [»]

FIFA 08 Mobile – Reviewed

 - February 28th, 2008
By Philip DunkleyTo start off with, I’m going to lay out a few things before I even get into this review. Firstly, I joined the LazyGamer team 2 days ago, and I am really excited about where this website is going and what Gavin has been doing since inception. Secondly, my knowledge and experience of Mobile gaming is limited at best, so it was with serious trepidation that I ventured forward into the wide world of Mobile Phone Gaming. The good people at EA have given me the latest version of their long standing, and in my humble opinion, the greatest sport franchise ever made for any console(I’m not debating this, so don’t mail me), FIFA 08 Mobile Edition. Now I have played every release of this game since its debut back on the Megadrive in 1995(Then known as FIFA International Soccer), and have managed to fall in love with this game over and over, and yes I have played the ... Not Convinced – GT Prologue

 - February 28th, 2008
Okay I posted a story yesterday about the upcoming GT Prologue, which seemed to have hit a few nerves as I was not very impressed with the trailer I had. Well Fox1 was kind enough to point me to what seems to be the most up to date trailer I could find and while it is much better than the trailer I used I am still not convinced. Don't get me wrong, the cut scenes are absolutely amazing, the detail and quality is probably unsurpassed. ... [»]

Alone in the Dark 5 – Real World Rules Episode 2

 - February 28th, 2008
Alone in the Dark is truly pushing the realism of the game and after watching these video's you have to believe that this game is going to be absolutely fantastic. The physics do seem absolutely amazing and if the story and gameplay hold up to the expected promise this game is going to become an absolute must have for all gamers. The way that you can integrate items (with the help of the most amazing tape in the world) is brilliant. I have no ... [»]

Zero Punctuation: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

 - February 28th, 2008
I could be mistaken here but I think this is the first time Yahtzee has reviewed a PlayStation 3 exclusive. If so then it is quite strange how he utterly ignores this fact? You would think he would mention something about it... Or is that just me? This week Yahtzee reviews Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and is very unimpressed with the perceived racism in the game. I had never thought about it before but he has a point. We also get to see Yahtzee for the first time ever (apart from the Valve ... [»]

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

 - February 27th, 2008
Okay I found this on the Internet this morning, thanks to a tip from Doobiwan, and I have to say I am a little disappointed. I don't see it being much different or any better than PGR4.It is obviously not photo realistic and the game play on the tracks seems quite atrocious.Am I missing something?
