| | Call of Duty 5 – Back to WWII | Gavin Mannion - January 29th, 2008 | It seems that Activision has decided that for its next Call of Duty instalment they are going back to basics. Back to the developer who created the under whelming Call of Duty 3 and back to the overly done World War 2 era. ... [»] |

| Fifa Street 3 gameplay videos | Gavin Mannion - January 29th, 2008 | I have always been a huge football fan and so whenever a new football game is about to get released I get a little giddy. I have been really looking forward to the new Fifa Street game which is coming out next month but I have to admit that after seeing the video above I am a little worried. Granted graphics are not everything but that really does look a little dodge. Here's hoping the game plays better than it looks in this video... |

| 120-160GB with Dual Shock 3 incoming | Gavin Mannion - January 29th, 2008 | I remember someone mentioned to me a long time ago that they think Sony has a whole pile of old hard drives and they are using the PS3 to get rid of them. You know what, I think they may have a point. We have had 20GB, 40GB, 60GB and 80GB PS3's so far and now it is being rumoured that we need to keep an eye out for 120 or 160GB models coming soon. In all honesty it's getting a bit idiotic now, pick a size and stick with it please. Mole: 80GB PS3 dead, 120-160GB with Dual Shock 3 incoming |

However as you all know that doesn't always mean we will get it then.I am happy to say however that in the latest release schedule from Megarom they have added a very significant entry.Grand Theft Auto IV on the Xbox ... | Call of Duty 4 outsells Halo 3 in 2007 | Lazygamer - January 28th, 2008 | I think the success of Call of Duty 4 has taken many people by suprise.Granted the game is available on a lot more platforms than Halo 3 but it is still quite an amazing feat to outsell the juggernaut that is Halo 3.I just received a press release in my inbox from Megarom who distribute COD4 locally. According to stats gathered from NPD and GFK, COD 4 has officially outsold Halo 3 in the 2007 calendar year.Quite an achievement if you think that it was ... [»] |

| PS3 may still get DLC for Grand Theft Auto | Gavin Mannion - January 28th, 2008 | There is a story going around at the moment that the Xbox 360 is not the only console that will be getting downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV. This is now being used by PS3 fanboys to say the the PS3 is ... [»] |

| Warner Supporting HD-DVD longer than stated? | Gavin Mannion - January 28th, 2008 | I am sure it's just a glitch in the matrix but it seems that Warner's promise of no longer releasing HD-DVD's after May is not entirely correct. According to their release schedule they are publishing HD-DVD titles for at least 3 weeks after that date, these releases include some blockbusters like I Am Legend and Justice League. So is this a sign that Warner is not entirely sure about it's decision or just a logistical nightmare? Source: Tom's Hardware |

| 25 Things games have been proved to do to you | Gavin Mannion - January 28th, 2008 | Remember when you were growing up and every time you played on the computer your mom would have a heart attack about how it rots your brain? No? Must just be me, anyway I found an article this morning which lists 25 things that ... [»] |

| GTA IV: Physics in Action ( Video ) | Gavin Mannion - January 28th, 2008 | Physics seems to be the next big thing in the gaming industry and it's not hard to see why. The graphics that the leading gaming machines (excl Wii) are able to produce are absolutely amazing. Granted they are not photorealistic yet but they are as close as really required.... Well for me at least. However the reactions and interactions with the environments in games still has a long way to go. The video above gives us some insight into the ... [»] |

| Star Wars: The Force Unleashed | Gavin Mannion - January 28th, 2008 | The publicity for this game is growing and it's really not hard to see why. It looks like a whole heap of fun and I for one cannot wait to give it a go. Today it is www.gametap.com 's turn to preview the game and once again a lot of the focus is on the new physics engines and the amazing realism that they bring to the game. One thing which they release which is pretty cool is that the game is set between ... [»] |

| Romania is now the latest country petitioning for Live | Gavin Mannion - January 26th, 2008 | Romania is the latest country to petition for official Live (and PSN and Wii online) support, however they are taking a slightly different tactic that may just work. So far we have had a South African Petition, a Polish Petition and a Greek Petition. All of these petitions have been directed at Microsoft however the Romanians are being slightly more imaginative. They are appealing to the European Union Representatives (the guys who run Europe) and basically saying that what Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are doing ... [»] |

| No Metal Gear Solid Demo | Gavin Mannion - January 26th, 2008 | I posted about the rumoured MGS4 demo a few days ago and in that posting I said that I felt demo's were a very risky thing to do unless you were 100% convinced of your game. Well it seems that Konami may possibly agree with me, or more than likely they have a better reason not to release a demo. Either way they have come out and debunked the rumour about any demo hitting the PSN before the games official release. This isn't to say we won't see a demo after the release for the people who would rather try before they buy. There goes another MGS 4 Rumor |

| Star Wars Unleashed | Gavin Mannion - January 25th, 2008 | I enjoyed the Star Wars movies, I wasn't a huge fan but they were good... However the majority of Star Wars games have been pretty weak but the latest option called Star Wars Unleashed is starting to look absolutely fantastic... Take a look... It's worth it. |

| Oneechanbara Revolution – ? | Gavin Mannion - January 25th, 2008 | I just found this trailer for an upcoming Wii game called Oneechanbara... As you can guess this is a game aimed at the Japanese market. The gameplay itself looks interesting enough but I don't think I will ever understand how the Japanese justify there advertising.... Why would a half naked women in a bikini be playing this game? |

| Frontlines PS3 cancellation is official | Gavin Mannion - January 25th, 2008 | THQ has been doing some house cleaning this year and unfortunately the PS3 is suffering. According to their corporately worded press release they are planning on strengthening their product pipeline... Whatever that means. The reality of it however is that Frontlines: Fuel of War has been canned on the PS3 (it is still coming to the Xbox 360 and I think PC) and Destroy all humans: Big Willy Unleased (couldn't make it up if I tried) has been canned for the PS2 Not happy ...
