There is no better way to end of 2007 than taking a look back at the games released this year and finding out which one was best. However everyone always has their own opinion and these lists are always highly debatable. Which is where ... [»]
Gamer.Blorge.com has written a nice wrap of the previous years fortunes for the big three. Generally like everyone else they have agreed that the Wii has had the best year and are smiling all the way to the bank. However there is still a worry about the quality and quantity of third party Wii games... The PS3 has had an acceptable year, though this is measured against its atrocious start to its life. The price ... [»]
By Lisa HaasbroekIn the mood for 1980s nostalgia? And I don't mean the type that involves a mullet and leg warmers. Yikes, I'm having bad fashion flashbacks. But back to the topic. The Commodore 64 ruled the market, PacMan was Atari's hot new release, and video arcades were the place to be. Yes people, I'm talking about retro arcade games! If you had enough quarters, you could expect to play Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Battlzone, and Galaxian. And, if it was 1983, you were probably playing Space Ace.Every adventure needs a hero and a villain. The hero in Space Ace is the muscle-bound Ace, and the villain is a blue beastie named Borf. In the intro, Borf ... [»]
Okay so here is how I imagine it went down... Microsoft headed on over to Japan to have a chat with Solid Snake, of Metal Gear fame, and attempted to bribe him to come on over to their console of choice. Snake was very excited about this opportunity but did ask for a large sign on fee. The Microsoft reps were over the moon and this is where all the Internet rumours started up. However when big Bill found out how much ... [»]
It seems that the huge surge in Xbox 360 sales in the US is having some unexpected side effects. The paid for Xbox Live service over there is starting to fail. According to a Microsoft support technician the servers are struggling to handle the weight of all these new users but the problem should be resolved by the end of the week. This is yet another case where I just have ... [»]
By DoobiwanNot everyone can keep up with all the new releases, and with the catalogue of "old next gen" titles growing week by week, every so often a good deal pops up on an older title, something goes platinum, or becomes generally available in quantity for trade. This is often the best time to dig up some long forgotten gem, or to discover a missed classic. You won't find a numerical rating here, I consider them unfair, especially with discounted games. What used to be a waste of money can be a bucket of fun when the price is right.Recently fortune saw fit to cross my path with "Call of Juarez", now ... [»]
I was reading a PS3ZA and game across an interesting post. Not sure how accurate it is but here is a list of exclusives for the PS3. There are definately a couple that would make me run out an buy a PS3. It does appear to include some of those "arcade" downloadable games but here is the list anyway.ReleasedEye of Judgement, The

So yesterday I posted about the worldwide sales (excluding America) which had the Wii happily sitting on top of the pile with the PS3 coming second and the 360 bringing up the rear. Well there are no suprises in the US sales results this week so lets get straight to the hardware numbers 1. Wii - 740,7912. 360 - 367,3043. PS3 - 226,263 So the Wii is outselling the ... [»]
Thirteen-year-old Thousand Oaks resident Brandon Burns must have been a very bad kid. Santa brought the unlucky teen a PlayStation 3 for Christmas, but when he opened the box, he found it only contained a phonebook.Rather than call all the exciting phone numbers in the book, Burns reportedly laughed at the mix-up, but his parents did not. They'd shelled out $500 for the system, and promptly took it back to EB Games, who resolved the matter quickly, according to a spokesperson.MyFox.com: Teen Opens PlayStation 3 Box, Finds Phone Book Inside!
It seems Gabe and Tycho have decided they are no longer happy just drawing awesome cartoons and making some comments on the gaming industry, they seem to have decided to lash out against all the long standing institutions.. This week it is Mark Rein's turn for a tongue... err keyboard lashing. After Tycho, rightfully, pointed out ... [»]
So it was the week before Christmas and all the shops were selling out of consoles.... Now the sales have been tallied and we can report on which console won the worldwide race... Okay that's not true we can confirm that the Wii obviously won but who came second.... In first place as expected was the Wii with sales of 1,457,872.... In second was the PS3.... with 619,388 and bringing up the rear was the 360 with 594,520 units... Suprised? Well what really matters to these companies is the software sales as that is where they make their profit...First was ... [»]
It started off with that fluke grenade which everyone has been trying to out do. Well the above "Epic Suicide", while obviously staged, is very impressive none the less. How long do you think it actually took them to do this?
It seems someone has finally gotten around to reading the terms and conditions of the Xbox Live service and now have their knickers in a knot about the fact that Microsoft can ban you for modding the fan on your Xbox 360. According to the T&C.... The Service may only be accessed with an original Xbox or Xbox 360 console or by logging into your account via Xbox.com. Now it is obvious ... [»]

I will see if I can find some great PS3 news before Christmas since this is obviously going to disappoint a fair many of you. It is being reported this morning that Haze, the highly anticipated PS3 shooter, has been delayed... again... Originally scheduled for November 2007 and then delayed until January 2008... Now, it looks like it has delayed further ... [»]
