If you want Blu-Ray buy a PS3

 - October 29th, 2007
I was sent a tip this morning about how the Blu-Ray player manufacturers are cheating the system by getting their players certified before the stricter/better requirements come into effect on the 30th of October. We are currently in the Profile 1.0 generation but as of the 1st of November all Blu-Ray players certified will need to have a ... [»]

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

 - October 29th, 2007
Yet another gameplay video for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune... The game looks and sounds great in this trailer and I am just really hoping the person playing the game is a complete idiot. As you will see it appears that aiming is impossible and controlling the vertical movement exceptionally difficult. I cannot imagine it is as bad as the trailer makes it out to be though and like I said, I hope the the person playing is an idiot ;) If the gameplay is as ... [»]

Why can’t we and our European friends have live?

 - October 29th, 2007
A while back I reported about the Polish Xbox Live petition that was a little to similar to our own to be a coincidence. Well Robert Szkop, the guy who put it up, actually responded to me very shortly after that to apologise for ... [»]

Good news about Haze

 - October 29th, 2007
Well after reading the poor review last week about Haze I was starting to worry that this highly anticipated game was going to flop. However a new review has hit the internet with some more information and this time the game is sounding better. While previously we didn't know the real point of Nectar it does seem to be very useful... It seems the rebels can grab the Nectar, make a grenade out of it and throw it at the Mantel soldiers, this causes them to overdose and go mad killing each other off in the process. ... [»]

Scene it Trailer

 - October 26th, 2007
If you are anything like me you have heard of this Scene it game but actually know very little about it. Well now we have an official trailer, chock full of overly happy Americans, to show us exactly what the game is. Well it's a party game with special controllers that you use to answer questions "about movies" with. I am ... [»]

Japanese Hardware Sales for the last week

 - October 26th, 2007
So we have seen the PS3 leading the 360 in Europe but trailing the Wii, the 360 killing the PS3 in the States and marginally edging out the Wii and now it's time to check on Japan again. Well nothing has changed really. Wii - 24,932PS3 - 17,130360 - 3,011 The 360 is still taking a battering and the Wii is still outselling the PS3. I however still hold the opinion that the Japanese market is not as important as it used ... [»]

The infamous Ratchet & Clank Gamespot Review

 - October 26th, 2007
I posted the Gamespot review of Ratchet & Clank a few days ago and got flamed horribly by a few people. Well it appears the Gamespot review caused quite the internet controversy and since it is still relevant I thought I would post the video review. This is not to cause more problems on flamebait Friday but rather to follow on from Andre's great article yesterday about game reviewing. While the game is great and looks like a lot of fun it has problems, some of which are quite large. So a ... [»]

Why the 360 will always have the best games

 - October 26th, 2007
Our local 360 fanboy leader (Doobiwan) has written another post on is personal site detailing why he thinks the 360 is the better machine, this time in relation to the games. While Doobiwan has never hid the fact that he is a 360 fanboy I do think he makes some very valid points in his article. Diving right in, the often quoted console install base is only half the story, attach rate (games sold per console) play as significant a role in putting ... [»]
