Call of Duty 4 – Teaser

 - April 30th, 2007
A new trailer for Call of Duty 4 has been released.... cooool.... They have now moved into modern times and along with some modern weapons and real fighter jets we are going to get to use night vision.... Tom Clancy style :)  I for one am glad to see some war titles coming out that are not based in World War 2.... That market seems a bit saturated right now... Getting There
Early Look into the Gears of War Script

 - April 30th, 2007
The script for the upcoming Gears of War movie has been leaked and is summarised on the Latinoreview.com website which is infamous for leaking real scripts early on. I could only bring myself to read the first few paragraphs, I don't want to ruin the ... [»]

Xbox 360 losses are shrinking – Huge profit for Microsoft

 - April 30th, 2007
Over at Xbox360Fanboy.com they are reporting that the Xbox division (which also encompasses the Zune and other smaller departments) is still making a loss but that loss is getting smaller. In the last quarter it only lost $315 million... ouch. They go on to wonder how Microsoft are going to handle this as that amount must really hurt. However what really needs to be taken into consideration is how much money Microsoft really makes. According to MyADSL.com Microsft itself has made a whopping $4.43 billion in profit in the last quarter. Yeah quarter...insane isn't it? ... [»]

Sony goes to far….

 - April 30th, 2007
It seems like Sony is not happy with just flighting bad adverts and bizarre magazine covers they have now gone one step to far and have decapitated a live Goat at the God of War 2 release in the UK. They then invited the guests to reach into the still warm carcass and eat offal from it's stomach... Sony that is just wrong, not only is it cruelty to animals it is just a pathetic publicity stunt. I personally hope the animal rights organisations take them to the cleaners over this one. Oh and yeah she just has a top painted on....... Link to Slaughter: ... [»]

Dead or Alive on PS3?

 - April 30th, 2007
Dead or Alive 5 on the PS3? That is the rumour doing the rounds at the moment. Team Ninja are rumoured to be making a new game for the PS3 and with Ninja Gaiden Sigma not out yet then it is believed to be a DOA game on it's way. So unless it's a new DOA game type or one of those ridiculous DOA Xtreme games I would presume it could only be DOA5. What's more it may even be a PS3 ... [»]

So the elite has only been on sale for a couple of days in the US and already the internet is being flooded with reports of dodgy consoles and 3 red lights of death. So if you where holding out for a new Elite so that you could have a more stable system you are out of luck. Microsoft really need to start upping the build quality of these consoles....  The most recent hardware sales coming out of France have painted a very nice picture for the PS3. Xbox.com is lying

 - April 26th, 2007
So after writing about Microsoft's xbox disc replacement policy a few weeks ago and even stating that South Africa was covered it seems that I was wrong. Well half wrong at least. According to Xbox.com the Xbox disc replacement program is applicable to us. In big black bold letters THIS PROGRAM IS GOOD ONLY FOR XBOX 360 CONSOLE OWNERS IN COUNTRIES WHERE XBOX 360 IS SOLD AT AUTHORIZED RETAIL LOCATIONS. Last I checked that would include South Africa, so I was more than a little surprised when I started getting messages telling me that South Africa was not covered. I then sent an email through to customer care and after initially receiving some idiotic response asking me to ... [»]

Tom Clancy’s EndWar – First Video

 - April 26th, 2007
Cool the first video of Tom Calcny's EndWar has been released and.... we are still completely in the dark. I have absolutely no idea what that video is about but it's worth watching just so you can be as confused as me :) They must be doing something right though because a lot of people are now interested in this game, even though we know nothing about it. It must be nice being big and powerful like UbiSoft and Tom. You get to nearly announce a new title and it ... [»]

PS3 is awesome at curing diseases – we think

So putting the Folding@Home application onto the PS3 has been a stroke of genius by these scientist guys. The media coverage of the PS3 folding has also led to an increase ... [»]

Halo 3 Analysis by Joystiq

 - April 25th, 2007
The guys over at Joystiq.com have made a video analysis of the leaked Halo 3 Beta.... It's over 8 minutes long and worth a watch if you are a Halo fan. They mock the guy who is playing and point out a few things that you might not have noticed if you watched the actual leaked video by itself... The hype surrounding this game is insane and to think we are still months away from it's release. The large beta begins soon though so the information about the game should start flowing ... [»]

Undertow coming to XBLA

 - April 25th, 2007
So it looks like Epic has signed up another client for it's fantastic Unreal 3 Engine... This time it is Chair Entertainment (The makers of Advent Rising), they are going to be using it to create Undertow for the Xbox Live! Arcade... I generally dislike all the underwater stages in games but since they are using the Unreal engine I am going to give it a bash. It sounds quite interesting and they describe it as Geometry wars meets Battlefield which is a strange comparison truth be told... The trailer looks interesting and I am sure that was Big Ben in the trailer so I ... [»]

PS3 Thumb Keyboard

 - April 25th, 2007
So not long after Microsoft released their keyboard controller attachment Mad Catz decided to do the same for the PS3 just very badly.... I originally thought the the Xbox 360's version was a bit of a waste of money but at least they had the sense of putting the keyboard under the controller. I am not sure how the gamers over at Mad Catz play games but generally my thumbs are under the controller when playing which makes hitting the keys on this version really difficult... I vote failed on this one.... and is it just me or os there no space button on that keyboard and the backspace key is where space should ... [»]
